You get your legs wide as hell on those pulls! Awesome work!
herderdude said:Did you SEE his Jack brief squat? The collars and monolift are in his way! Btw, after correcting my patterning last night, collar-to-collar pulls are the way to go.
No, I was trying to set the straps and pull my shoulders back. I've noticed that my thoracic has been tighter than usual and I haven't been retracting as hard on pulls, which is probably why I feel like I've been going forward lately.Good lookin, man. Did you double up ammonia caps on that last pull?
To wipe off the dirt or baby powder on the soles. It's not a big deal for conventional stance, but it is for sumo.Got ya. And wiping your shoes?

Makes sense. So what are your goals once you get back into training again?
I'm going to get back to the gym today and will get a new log going, too.Well, you know I'll be following. I'm always stealing ideas from your log so I appreciate it man. Looking forward to seeing you hit Elite.I've already decided to drop to 198. Tired of worrying about making weight for work and I'm hoping I can just stay steady around 205 for a while and build my strength up and only worry about a few lbs like you said. Ive bought single ply everything in size 34 (still contemplating when to switch) but thatll motivate me to stay in a weight range. Pretty sure my scale at home was off by a couple lbs as well.
You look amazing!!!
Thanks
I had a very rough session today, fellas. I hit my opener in full gear (barely), but that wasn't the bad part. While I was looking at the video, I noticed that my right knee came in and I was going over everything in my head. While mimicking the squat motion that I did in the video, my right knee, once again, slightly dislocated. There was a slight pop in the joint and I immediately collapsed onto the ground. It's too early to assess the potential damage to the knee, but, unless it's really bad, I'm still doing the meet. I will not be doing any lower body work until the meet and I probably won't be taking my warm-up bench on Friday since there is a lot of torque on my knee from my style of benching.
I'm not going to lie: I'm pretty shaken up and my confidence is even lower going into this meet.
**** man..
This happend before right? I remember something being up with your knee in the past. Would any strengthening exercises outside of unilateral work benefit it?
That sounds terrible, hopefully it heals up soon enough for you to go.
Worth mentioning, it's a goof thing all of the guys following your new log are in this one as well. (This is your old log lol)
