10 weeks of StrongLifts

Just finished my 32nd Stonglifts workout. Really like the program and the gains I've made along the way. However, I'm worried that my body is getting used to the workout and becoming less productive. How long should I run it, and what program is a good one to follow? I definitely prefer the big, whole-body exercises over isolations. Thanks for your help.

Stronglifts is an excellent program, good choice on that one.

I'm allergic to accessory work, myself. Have you looked into the Wendler 5/3/1? It focuses on the big lifts, and gives you several options for accessory work, right down to zero work.

Good program, I'm quite happy with it.

Thanks for the tip. Looking into it now...

Fantastic link. Thanks!

Just finished my 2nd workout with "Boring but Big". The military press day was challenging, but the deadlift routine...wow. That kicked my ass and I was drenched in sweat. What a great workout. I've only done deads in the Stronglifts routine. BBB adds serious volume (80 reps of deadlifts over 11 sets including warmups). I've never gotten such a big pump in my forearms (which were absolutely fried after that). There was no way I was going to do Hanging Leg Raises with toasted forearms, so I swapped in Dips instead. Really looking forward to week #2 of Deads!

Cheers,

Bbb is a great program.
Good work.
Personally, I use 531 but I don't even do the support work now. (cutting) just too much for my body especially with the added cardio. Still getting stronger just not bigger lol. Very customizable. :)
