    I hear you. On deadlifts I have to either put the barbell on platforms or simply go lighter and do Romanians. Short arms and long legs.

    That wide of stance actually hurts my hips, thats why I stay narrow and go deep. You get a better isometric hold that way though!

    For me that's still a quarter, I go hamstring to calf. I have good flexiblity though.

    On leg day, it may seem douchie, I purposely grab the farthest 45's from the leg press and walk them back. I also put them back where I found them on the plate racks. Nice little farmer walk workout.

    I use to have problems with a deep hip flexor muscle get irritated when doing pistol squats. You maybe irritating it doing lunges, can't say for certain though.

    I try not to rely on the mirror mostly do listen to my body, it helps some people but I get distracted by my own beautiful green eyes. I learned to "zen" lift to ignore other people, doesn't tune everyone out but it also helps me relax. Meditative lifting is what I'd call it.
