I did stationary bike for 5 minutes then I did lunges. Touched my toes. Did seated stretches on the mat bringing my arms to my toes. Usually that's enough but today it wasn't
I had some knee surgery done last year. I went through rehab and completed that. My leg was feeling good up until today. The weather has been damp and foggy today and I think this weather is bad for my leg. During my lifting session I stretched, I did stationary bike, I did everything...
Great list! I would have included Jason Bourne (Matt Damon). He showcases a fit body that is adaptable and he manages several different types of martial arts. Aslo Blade (Wesley Snipes) should be included.
In Men's Health magazine a long time ago, it said training the back is the quickest way to add bulk to the chest. It helps activate muscle fibers in the chest and having a big back gives the appearance of having a big chest.
Eat more carbs. I put on weight by eating whole wheat bread. And I snack on pecans for an afternoon snack. Nuts have fat and the bread has carbs. Not only am I putting on more weight but I am putting on more muscle.
You could try eating a smaller portion of pasta. And instead of whole milk you could change to 1%. Doing this might help get your bodyfat down with out losing significant amounts of weight.
Thank you for the tips.
Exhaustion meaning, if I work out around 3pm and finish around 3:40, I feel sluggish for the rest of the evening. Just drained of energy. The next day I am usually fine though.
I make sure to eat protein for breakfast and later on in the afternoon I lift. When I am done lifting I tend to feel exhausted. I get enough carbs throughout the day and I am really fit and have a good deal of energy on days when I am not lifting. What could be the cause of this?
Eat more. Your lifting is probably fine. I am currently making gains because I am eating more. You have a lean frame, so eat more things like sweet potato and pasta.
Sounds like you are doing too much cardio. It's hard to put on weight if you are running everyday. Scale it down to no more than 40 minutes of running per week.
I find that overhead presses, military presses and lat pull down grow my biceps. I also do squats. I hardly ever do curls. Big compound exercises grow the biceps oddly enough.
I don't gain weight. So the answer is no I can't overeat post workout. It is not possible.
There was one time back in January after a gym workout I went to dinner and had nine plates
of food and did not gain a single pound from the meal. I have the fastest metabolism on the planet so
there is...
Instead of taking ph eat a whopper and fries once a week. I am a hardgainer and it helps me put on weight.
And I keep up with my lifting schedule. And instead of drinking a diet soda drink a smoothie. Doing those things has kept my weight up.
I am trying to gain weight.
I am 5'9 and 140 lbs. I want to add six pounds.
My metabolism is naturally turbo charged.
Just to maintain my current weight I am at 3,900 calories a day.
Should I bump it up to say 4,400?
I try to have a beef product at lunch and at dinner. For lunch today I had a...
@Gage,
imho this is counterintuitive, but consider dropping your workouts down to two a week.
They can still be intense but this will give your body more time to recooperate.
I find that I make tremendous gains only working out twice a week and I have a ton of muscle on me.
