  1. Libido Enhancers

I agree - stress can cause physiological adaptations and downstream effects that can manifest itself in poor mood, anhedonia, low libido, etc. When people are stressed, CRH (Corticotropin-releasing hormone) hypersecretion can occur which can inhibit gonadal, thyroid and growth hormone axes at...
  2. Ksm 66 ashwagandha help or hurt sleep?

My sleep was pretty bad on KSM. My dreams were more vivid but it wasn't really a good thing - I almost felt like I was dreaming the whole time I was asleep and actually woke up exhausted from that. I think it made me sleep much lighter than usual and I felt like I didn't get a lot of slow wave...

same here. I log my food into cronometer and instead of doing a multi, I focus on vitamins and minerals I may be not getting enough of: Vitamin D, K, and E tocopherols/tocotrienols Folate Iodine Fish oil Magnesium Zinc Selenium
  4. The New Product Release Thread

that is a very good point. Antioxidants are definitely a no-no during intra-workout. May have to reconsider.
  5. The New Product Release Thread

Very interesting that Quake has Capros (Indian Gooseberry). I saw that Granite's intra-workout also has Indian Gooseberry in it, so it must do something lol.
  6. What's best for memory. Had options, now confused.

One thing is to watch out for excessive caffeine - can't post links so check out these studies Inhibitory effects of caffeine on hippocampal neurogenesis and function. (2007) Caffeine alters proliferation of neuronal precursors in the adult hippocampus. (2009) ^^ These studies focused on...

  10. I'm on Phosphatidic acid Ya'll

Powder City has Mediator PA bulk powder, certificate of analysis and all. A possibility. Either way, I doubt the authors would waste the time, resources and money to do this study without having legit PA.
  11. I'm on Phosphatidic acid Ya'll

the plus side is they used to delete/moderate a lot of posts, now it seems like that doesn't happen very often. Worth a try to see if you can get a response.

T-Nation forum these days is pretty dead.
  13. I'm on Phosphatidic acid Ya'll

Thanks for sending the email. I've sent a few emails to authors for various studies and every one of them had gotten back to me within a couple of weeks, so they are usually pretty good about that.

  15. 10 Curcumin Products Tested

I thought curcumin didn't do anything anymore because it is a pan-assay interference compound? At least according to that new study - The Essential Medicinal Chemistry of Curcumin (2017, can't link)

  18. What's the best supplement to help me go to sleep that I can take everyday?

Besides going to sleep at the same time and the whole nutrition / exercise / easy on the caffeine thing - magnesium glycinate 200-400 mg, melatonin 300 mcg (more for sleep latency than sleep quality), & valerian or lemon balm.
  19. Break time on PWOs

same here. I metabolize caffeine slowly so it affects me greatly - I've noticed after a few days of pre-workouts usage (caffeine about 250-300 mg) my tolerance creeps up and now I basically need the pre-workout to have an effective workout... and the week that follows when I go stim-free is full...
  20. Supplements to Increase GLUT-4 Receptors?

sorry... mistake on my part. I meant that examine shows that acute caffeine intake can increase insulin RESISTANCE in humans. In the grand scheme of things, not a big deal most likely. Plenty of lean individuals here with high caffeine intake.
