  1. Alternative Leg Training Routine

Ahhh linear progression... back when things were simple. Those were the days. :approve:
  2. 90-100 sets a week too much volume?

When I first started lifting for mass at age 18 I was performing anywhere from 150-180 sets per week when bulking using the push/pull/legs split. Add in some super/tri/giant sets and it's a piece of cake. Of course I was force fed weightlifting from a young age so maybe that's how I can tolerate it.
  3. Diet help?

I've had a lot of success with the paleo diet as far as re-comping goes. It's extremely hard, however, given the fact that you must eliminate all refined carbohydrates. Here is an example... only avoid or limit dairy products: "The simplicity of the diet blends optimum performance and health...
  4. Trying to shred...need some help!

That's fine and dandy and all but cardio is terrible for fat loss. Add HIIT or met con instead of cardio; it will save you time and promote a hormonal response to burn fat even after the workout. I also wouldn't do an ECA stack as they can be dangerous and leave you drained after a cycle, which...
  5. 90-100 sets a week too much volume?

It's hard to say for sure. If you can give us your experience level with weightlifting we could make an educated guess. Also it would be helpful if we knew what your goal was, as well.
  6. O Lift routine?

If you're doing the Bulgarian method which sounds similar to what you described as your workout then I doubt you'll have the energy or willpower to perform any auxiliaries. OLY lifting is totally different from bodybuilding in terms of programming and improving technique is > any auxiliaries...
  7. Inner upper quad

This + spot reduction is one of the most prevalent myths out there so the best thing you can do is develop them and continue eating clean.
  8. Inner upper quad

I believe you're referring to the abductors which are best isolated by the abductor machine, but it puts you in a bad position if you're a male and IMO it's just a ****ty machine. Any hip dominant exercise that involves abduction is your best bet like wide stance PL squats, box squats, olympic...
  9. "Aerobics better for Fat Loss"

What are these aerobics you speak of? Never heard of them as I tend to eliminate useless knowledge from my brain.
  10. Thoughts on programs like P90X

Way too much money considering its just met con and hiit. You don't need to pay at least a 100 bucks to write up a program similar to them with some research and creativity. Also... IMO They don't provide enough stimulation for growth in your lats and legs. Dumbells and body weight training...
  11. Article: Should You Squat Deep?

Ever since I started doing Olympic squats (ass to heels) my quad size and explosive strength has gone through the roof. If your training to be an athlete or if you're quads are lagging I highly recommend extremely deep squats.
  12. Article: Things You Should Never Eat

In today's world I doubt you could avoid at least half this list on any given day
  13. Article: Getting Stronger Without Bulking

This aRticle sounds like crossfits strength bias programs
  14. Training when sick?

I've had some of my best workouts when I was sick. You would be amazed at the increases in strength and endurance when your metabolism is working at it's max.
  15. More overhead press strength

Bill Starr in his book recommended heavy weighted dips and incline bench since they both involve pressing at a higher angle.
  16. Hamstring curls.....

Personally, I do hamstring plate curls which are probably the most convienent of the hamstring curls. If 45lbs. isn't enough I will sometimes use an ankle strap to do them at a cable station.
  17. Article: Squat 4x A Week?

So basically this article is about a toned down version of the Bulgarian program.
  18. Article: Medical Schools Undereducating On Obesity

I totally agree with where this article is going. Doctors should combat disease with exercise and a nutritional diet. You'd be amazed at how simple it is, yet its easier for doctors to pick up the pad and pen and write a script. I believe pharmaceutical companies have their hands in the medical...
