Since I've run the Tough Mudder already and will be this year I was going to respond. But someone pretty much already commented on what I was going to say. But then it looks like some scumbag lawyer responded to the first post.
The lawyers BS comment of "blame the victim"...
My question was if working out then not sleeping for a long period of time doing damage or just not giving me gains. Will look into any military studies I can find. Thanks for the tip.
BTW, nice Black Templars marine.
I've been looking for info on whether or not it is counterproductive to lift when you are going to be awake for more than 24 hours. Google has not been my friend in regards to this. With my rotations at the hospital I am awake at least 27 hours two times a week. Usually before I start my shift...
Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I left out the milk in the GNC Wheybolic and it seems to not make me as gassy. I didn't think a cup of milk could cause that much of a problem.
I've been using G N C's Wheybolic for a long time but it never left a good affect on my gut. Too much gas. But I need something after a good lifting session. Is there anything out there that goes easier on your gut or are they pretty much all the same? I usually blend it with some skim milk...
What I'm getting from this article is the biggest hurdle with any form of 'exercise' is you're going to have to accept a certain plateau (for us everyday full time workers anyway.)
I've never done crossfit. Wanted too but $100+ a month for 2 sessions a week is a bit much. I like my $20 gym...
Did White Flood for a week. It put me in the ER with PVC's.
Did MHP Fit X Trainer for a few months. It put me in the ER with tachycardia. Almost like an adrenaline rush that wouldn't stop. Very scary.
Stims or no stims. Gotta be careful. Especially when doing cardio. Now I'm limited to tea...
Hmm. Just bought a box of Minoxidil from Costco real cheap but it says not for receding hairlines. But I'm convinced that more hair is dropping out due to the DAA.
Maybe I'll try it anyway and back it up with Regenepure. Couldn't hurt.
I thought it was just my body telling me I'm getting old till I read this. lol Been on DAA for the past month and lost a noticeable amount of hair on the front of my scalp. Gonna research this thread and hopefully get some regeneration of the hair follicles going.
Thanks guys. Gonna try 6 miles and see how that goes. Last Tough Mudder by mile 10 my quads were killing me. Probably from the treck though the mud mile. I figure If I can do 10 miles I should be good. The TM is in October so I've got 2 months left to train.
I did the Tough Mudder and trained for it back in 2010 when I was 180 lbs. I'm training for it now but after 4+ years of lifting I'm 197 lbs and seem to have a hard time beating a 5k in less than 26 minutes. What I'm saying is now that I'm 15+ lbs heavier I'm concerned that I'm going to have a...
Just got my order in the mail today! Damn that was quick! Guess I'll start today then.
Any good AI's I can get from GNC or Vitamin Shoppe? They're only a few miles down the road from me.
