I usually get doms after a workout. Not severe though, if you are training hard and lifting heavy I don't think they can be truly avoided. Any one know why the delts never get doms?
No it doesn't matter when you get your calories in as long as you get them in for he day. You can get them in 1,2,3 or 10 meals it really makes no difference.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I have recently started to add 10x3 on wendlers 531 instead of first set last to try and hit fast and slow twitch fibres. Really hard but feels good.
You can use it for both. I have been adding size while fasting for over 2 years while keeping my body fat down. Don't get me wrong its not a massive amount of size but its some.

For years I thought that it was the Type 1 slow twitch fibres that cause hypertrophy and Type 2 fast twitch caused strength gains. But after some research people are saying its the Type 2b fast and slow twitch fibres that cause hypertrophy done at 60% + of your 1rm at a fast and explosive rate...
For squats its says to have your elbows foreword. Mark Rippetoe teaches to bring your elbows back to clamp the bar onto your back and to keep your back tight. What are your thoughts on this?
