The physique side is what I struggle with, I don't want the show muscles, I want the brute force and speed. So thanks for your help, I'll tweak it in a few months

    Moving beyond starting strength

Also, at what point do I need to change the routine? I've only been on this program for about 3 weeks, and by no means am I saying I'm looking to change it out now, but just trying to plan a training cycle

    Moving beyond starting strength

I used 5/3/1, I was certainly a fan of the BBB and powerlifting variation, that's the one that helped me get very strong, I was hoping more for a total body strength program that would really help me pack on the size while building a lot of strength.

    Moving beyond starting strength

Hello AM readers, I'm 20 years old, was an avid trainer for a few years, but ended up having surgery and then moved cross country, this resulted in me taking several months off, I think around 6 or 7 months. Anyway, recently got back into it, I'm currently doing starting strength and really like...

    Slowing gettinf my dreams

Try a good 5x5, I personally like either strong lifts or the mad cow variant. And look into 5/3/1. It's great for building a solid strength foundation. Progression is key, and the assistance work on 5/3/1 would be good for your bodybuilding. While getting much stronger on the main lifts...

    5x5 for mass and strength?

So I've done 5x5 before, and thoroughly enjoyed it, but I've never done it for mass before, my question is this, I like the strength building from 5x5 but is it a solid routine for building size?

Appetite isn't the problem, it's work, that's the problem, and I'm really just looking to get back to the 182-185 that I was before before I start looking to slow and steady

    Preferred weight gain supplement

Alright, first off, I took a break from fitness when I was in the middle of relocating from Maryland to California. Got here three weeks ago and found a job about a week after I got here. I work 11 hours a day, with a lunch break thrown in there. Nutrition wise, my diet is pretty damn good...

    Appetite enhancers??

Up the intensity, adding a cheat meal always makes me starving, and drinking around 16 ounces of milk before hand makes me really start getting hungry

Looking for advice on bulking/what to eat

Personally I like to keep protein and fat at a 1:1 ratio, and carbs about double that, sometimes higher even just for the added strength and recovery. Honestly a great way to bulk and to do it healthily is whole milk. Adding three or four glasses onto what you eat can help immensely, and a...

Looking for advice on bulking/what to eat

I'm siding with OnionKnight, completely natty I throw up around 300 for 4-6 reps, and I only weigh about 12 pounds more than you, it takes hard work and consistency, stop being a punk and talking about prohormones, you're 19 toss those in the back of your closet and don't touch em, admit you...

Favored Macro ratios among you guys?

I'm thinking of running a slightly more aggressive ratio of 40% carbs/ 30% fats and proteins. This is more fat than I was getting on the 40/40/20 split I employed before. I'm just curious as to what the AM forum members prefer for their bulk ratios.
