That's interesting about the tyrosine. I've been taking it with my Target-A2 and haven't had any issues.
Although I keep the dose low - only about 500 mg of tyrosine.
Did someone piss in your Cheerios this morning or something?
You're awfully defensive over something so minuscule as me inquiring (jokingly mind you) about your TA2 intake.
The one thing I don't like about OT (unless they changed it, then disregard this) is that they use folic acid instead of the active form of methylfolate.
There's a lot of research coming out on how folic acid can actually cause problems. And in the case of those with the MTHFR genetic mutation...
Your money is probably better spent elsewhere if you're looking for something to help with fat loss.
Just get some caffeine, EGCG, L-Tyrosine, and Target A-2 and you're good to go.
I actually prefer fasted conditioning when in a fat loss phase. Especially since I do my conditioning work with Target-A2 (alpha yohimbine) and it requires you to be in a fasted state to work on inhibiting your alpha-2 receptors anyway.
The whole "omg it's gonna eat my muscles" thing is way...
The best thing you can do would be to very slowly add muscle while minimizing any fat gain, but you will not be able to build muscle while simultaneously stripping fat off your midsection.
If you're getting chubby as you say, put muscle gain on maintenance right now and diet down to lose the...
Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I don't view my food as something I need to budget myself on.
It's one of our most important expenses and I'm not going to skimp on food quality to save a few pennies.
Yes, I do care about hormones in my meat. Not only that, but I prefer to buy meat from...
While I do like oats, I actually prefer white jasmine rice as my main carb source when bulking.
You can make all of the same recipes you do with oats and substitute the white rice instead.
It's less "bulky" and doesn't fill you up as much as oats do, so you can easily pound a few cups at a...
Which is more important to you at this time, gaining muscle or losing fat around your stomach and getting visible abs?
You will need to pick one or the other and focus on that, realizing the other goal will have to take a backseat for now.
Onnit seems way overpriced for what you get.
I haven't personally used any of their products so I can't say from experience, but I feel like you can get all the same ingredients they use for way cheaper elsewhere.
Regarding nootropics, check out any of the racetams (aniracetam, piracetam...
Are you just taking a few bites out of a block of cheese here or something?
I would definitely remove this. You can't really call it a "meal."
Replace it with a real food source like meat and vegetables
What protein powder are you using that has 30 grams of carbs? Or are you blending it up...
Yeah I know he's a pretty well-respected guy in the industry, but I never liked him to be honest.
I agree that sourcing studies from him could be useful though. Will check it out.
Thanks for the ideas.
I do like PubMed a lot, but sometimes the search results can be all over the place. I'll have to play around with the filters more to try and narrow things down.
Good idea on the local conferences. That's definitely something I need to start doing more.
Yeah that's not a bad idea. I was thinking of doing something similar with other articles or books I've read.
I have a few of Lyle's books and he always has good sources in them, so I can start with those journals.
I wonder if there's a site that takes the top studies from different journals...
