KLEEN LIVING - A log about Life, Training, and Nutrition.

Great news! I am going for my MRI tomorrow at 1:00PM, my boss is letting me work from home tomorrow so I can be closer to the facility and miss less work, so that is a plus. I am happy to be figuring out what all is going on with this bad boy, and find out what my options are for recovery / repair.

    In the Mail ....

Which one? It ain't helpful if you don't share the info! ;) I would imagine most sugar free candy increases blood glucose, just because it is sugar free does not mean it is carb free.

Yeah, using nutrition for the deficit during a deload makes more sense, and liss shouldn't be damaging any tissue so no real "recovery" there so to speak. Hence why LISS is considered King for bodybuilders trying to hold as much muscle as possible during a cut. If you want to reintroduce some...

    Segansational's Motivation Log

Some great advice here, I agree with Hyde that if you are okay with the first 4 things, then just do it for the fun, and motivation. It will be a good experience, and might be just what you need to light a new fire.

Yeah, I was going to say, if you are wanting to clean up, LISS would be the only form of cardio I would consider during a deload, and even then very laid back if not part of your normal work. Now a 36hr fast like Hyde mentioned makes sense if cleaning up.

Thanks Gentlemen, has been a rough week so far. I woke up Monday morning sick as a dog, some kind of stomach bug or food poisoning. Unfortunately I was out of town for work and there was no option to not go into work. I managed, but it was horrible, I took care of the new hire then left for the...

Some great training going on in here lately, congrats on the OR's, you have to be loving it right now. Good thing the boy recognizes he is in a better situation now that it is over. Far better than pining away like a lost puppy.

    Building Back Up

Give it hell man, get your warface on! It ain't gonna be easy on you to be that aggressive with how you respond to deficits. So be ready to embrace the suck knowing the juice is worth the squeeze.

Thanks, it is hard to see that sometimes when it is you doing it, while easy to see someone else fighting through a struggle and see it as valiant. Agreed, I definitely get excited with every new / returning ability! That first sentence really hits home, while I am very grateful to be getting...

GP’s Old Man With A Plan Log

Pull ups come a lot closer to ripping my callous off than deads for the most part. Again probably the flexed wrist palm a little more over the bar grip. When I use Versa's I do more of a hanging grip mostly n the fingers letting the versa grip do the bulk of that wok so I can focus on pullups...

My bodybuilder gym only has the old chest supported HS Row, but Fitness Connection by my house has all of them but the low row.

Right, I really shouldn't play any of this down because it is far better than I was able to do a short while ago. I need to appreciate and have gratitude for being in a position now that yesterday's session didn't feel special, but was leaps and bound over my training abilities very recently...
