  1. Which Nfl team do you root for?

Kap's shown some true talent and composure, no doubt. But Alex Smith would be a fine addition to any roster, despite being labeled a management QB. Considering his stat line before the concussion and his willingness to put his body on the line for the good of the team, Smith has shown he's a...
  2. Which Nfl team do you root for?

I'm holding onto limited optimism for the Chiefs next year. Not even taking into account the Belcher catastrophe, the personnel issues and lack of QB talent did not bode well for the team. Hopefully they use their draft position well and they complement Charles' incredible talent with an...
  3. Muscle gains question

Why is 5/3/1 being advocated so quickly for beginners? Wendler's program is designed primarily for strength, and a good base of knowledge and lifting experience is best to have before using his methods.
  4. Looking for shake ideas

Good god, why bother coming into a thread requesting information just to post the same tired, worthless affirmation of your love for meat? We get it. Enough with the repetitive garbage. To the OP - what's your current go to formula?
  5. A little post thanksgiving fun

Gokix, I do believe I'm falling in love with you.
  6. A Wide Back? What to do

Snatch grip high pulls might be a good one to throw in as well.
  7. Omega-3 Mayo as fat source

Making mayonnaise with sesame oil is not a good option, in my opinion. The flavor would be overwhelming, and the viscosity of the oil would prove difficult in achieving the correct consistency.
  8. UFC 154!

There is no chance in hell of GSP being able to cut to LW. And dropping a weight class makes absolutely no sense regardless, considering the fact that he's been so maligned in the past for being such a "huge" welterweight. He seems fully aware of the dangers of facing Silva at any weight, and...
  9. Tomhawk Is Eating His Cake And Having It Too (CBL)

Tom, that's a lean looking 255 my friend. Impressive size and power no doubt.
  10. Tomhawk Is Eating His Cake And Having It Too (CBL)

I'll say, nothing beats proper training and diet protocols, but a good supplement regiment sure does give a decent boost. The problem of course is weeding through all the snake oil and salemanship and finding effective products.
  11. Tomhawk Is Eating His Cake And Having It Too (CBL)

I took it on nontraining days as well, but lately I'm doing four days of Westside ME DE and two days of GPP plus assistance workouts so it's a nice thing to have on hand. I've read Kiefer's info on caffeine but I'm still a little wary of taking so much at once. To each their own, of course...
  12. Tomhawk Is Eating His Cake And Having It Too (CBL)

Yeah, it's not the most phenomenal taste in the world, but it does the job. Holy Christ, that's a lot of caffeine. Just keep drinking the stuff, you'll love its effect on training.
  13. Tomhawk Is Eating His Cake And Having It Too (CBL)

You're going to love Clout, it's a staple for power and focus. That looks like a mean CHO meal for a rest day.
  14. Tomhawk Is Eating His Cake And Having It Too (CBL)

I just went back to CBL myself, but without the arbitrary fasting. I ceased the program initially because I thought my lifts were suffering as a result of the diet, but the more I think about it, my CNS was shot to hell and no protocol would have solved that. How's the 255 weight? I know you...
  15. Tomhawk Is Eating His Cake And Having It Too (CBL)

Tom, the detailed posts are always appreciated. Thanks for keeping up the log through all the changes in diet and training protocols, it's definitely a great source for those of us out there trying similar carbohydrate cycles.
  16. The best UFC match-up EVER

The cage would improve his chances, sure. But Fedor's extraordinary balance, sambo prowess, and ability to reverse and scramble would seemingly negate the advantages of the cage as well. I would have loved to have seen this fight regardless, if only to cement Emelianenko's legacy.
  17. The best UFC match-up EVER

Couture was never an elite HW, and his fight against Sylvia shows determination but indicates nothing of dominance aside from the punch in the opening round. This is just opinion, but the same Emelianenko that savaged Rodrigo and stood with Crocop in their primes would have obliterated Couture.
  18. What kind of oats?

Steel cut oats are not twice as calorically dense as rolled. 40 grams, the typical serving size, of any oat will generally have between 140 and 170 calories depending on manufacturer.
  19. Evogen

There are a lot of athletes at my training facility that swear by the stuff, and Hany Rambod definitely has some solid credentials. It's relatively expensive, and prop blends are bothersome, but from the feedback I've heard the EVP is a good pre especially if you're staying away from stims.
