I don't have to work to do max effort squats or pulls every week to maintain or even progress. I really only seem to need to hit one heavy session once a month or even less to maintain and 1-2 times a month to progress. Now understand I get a significantly different training response from the...
I have not read either. But I do feel that the advanced athlete doesn't need to hit maximal load on a weekly basis which I believe is the foundation to the cube. That concept has merit.
