I agree. I found out yesterday that the company I work for has decided to add health insurance coverage started the beginning of next year. So, I'll be able to get in for a sleep study soon and hopefully fix this problem.
edit: just wanted to add that I completely agree that there is...
A question for anyone that reads this - is it possible that too high of a magnesium dose before bed could actually cause sleep problems? The reason I ask is that last night I only took 200 mg of magnesium glycinate (instead of the usual 400 mg) and actually slept much better. I also recall that...
Thank you for the suggestion. However, the first ingredient for that product is phenibut which is something I want to avoid due to the high tolerance/addiction potential. Also, I really need to find something that I can use nightly (not just two or three times each week).
Unfortunately the lower zma dose didn't help after that first night (even with benadryl). I had two almost sleepless nights after that one good night. So I picked up some Theanine Serene with Relora by Source Naturals and have been taking that the last two nights. So far it seems to be...
I think you're right. I just looked and on at least one site there's is a version without phenibut listed. I may look into that further in the future. However, for now I'll give zma, melatonin and benadryl a try. When the samples for growth factor xt arrive, I'll replace the benadryl with it...
I tried your suggestion of a lower zma dose last night. I took two capsules with 1 mg of slow release melatonin. Unfortunately, I woke after an hour. When I couldn't go back to sleep an hour after waking, I took one benadryl and quickly fell back asleep. The weird thing is that I then slept...
Thank you for the suggestion. However, I don't react well to high doses of l-dopa and don't react well to any size dose of 5-htp (tried 50 mg before for a few days and had terrible sleep and felt horrible in the morning). That could be a good option though for anyone else having sleep problems...
Thank you for all the great advice. I'll pick up some gaba to try with my next online order and I'll try zma at a smaller dose tonight (along with the slow release melatonin I have).
I completely agree about seeking medical advice. I actually saw my regular doctor about it a few months ago. He just said he thought I was depressed and prescribed an ssri. I tried that for a couple weeks but it made things significantly worse (almost broke up my marriage due to the anger and...
That's actually the brand I had bought. It's hard to say how it worked because I also took 2 benadryl before bed to make sure I got more than the 3 hours of sleep the previous night. So, I slept a better (about 6 hours) but felt like crap when I woke up thanks to the benadryl.
Mostly staying asleep. I used to have trouble falling asleep due to me not being able to shut off my thoughts but melatonin seems to fix that.
Almost every night I wake up around 2 or 3 am and about 75% of the time I'm unable to get back to sleep. The exception being the nights I take...
My negative reaction to l-dopa was at higher doses. So, your recommendation is definitely worth a try. If there's anyway I could get a small sample to try I would appreciate it. Otherwise, I'll wait and see if there are any sales on it over the holidays and pick some up then.
I've found in the past that if I take any zinc before bed that it interrupts my sleep. Even before I started having sleep issues I couldn't take zma or zinc glycinate with another form of magnesium.
Will have to check into Gaba.
I think taking more ashwagandha, and including a dose right...
