    Scapular stability training

Sometimes when I'm doing BB or DB rows I feel it more in my mid back as opposed to upper. Face pulls with bands and lat pulldowns are when I feel it best. For pulldowns, I lean back slightly and focus on squeezing my shoulder blades together. Bent over raises could be effective too. Just spit...

    5x5 help

Agree with previous poster. BF is adjusted through diet, not training. Lifting will, however, up your metabolism. Stay away from a lot of iso work. Compound lifts are what give you the biggest spark. If your body can handle it deadlift twice a week, maybe max 3 one day and max 8 three to four...

Lift for building inner back muscles?

Agree completely. The body works as a unit. The back in that pic didn't come from iso work. I deadlift AT LEAST once a week, and when I train Strongman events on Sunday it's all back heavy, especially stones. Hit those deads man, and hit them heavy. Invalid Link Removed

The greatest Strongman of all time???

I love watching the 1987 Pure Strength contest between Capes, Kaz, and Jon Pall. Epic stuff.

The greatest Strongman of all time???

Exactly. Look at the caliber of athletes in WSM and IFSA. Poundstone was inches away from taking Pudz down in 2008, but he didn't even place in IFSA in 2007. The serious athletes, Misha, Vasil, were in IFSA, and Vasil beat Mariusz in 2004. As soon as they merged again in 09, Z dominated. 5 WSM...

The greatest Strongman of all time???

I've posted this topic on a few other forums. Fun to get a discussion like this going. I personally feel like if you took the number of victories in ALL contests, not just WSM, and world records held, you'd be hard pressed to NOT say Zydrunas Savickas wasn't the best. Thoughts?

Lift for building inner back muscles?

Invalid Link Removed You get a big EVERYTHING from deadlifts. There's a reason it's called the king of lifts. Focus on your pulls. Rows, chins, and things like that should be assistance work.

Stronglifts ?? Worth it or not

Squats, pressing, and deadlift should be the staple of any training program. People who train "legs" and "back" are rarely competitors, and only limit their progress. Stick to the basics. It's why they've stood the test of time.

    Deadlifts without bleeding

I used to deadlift barefoot, and still do occasionally. But I'd recommend trying to pull in Chuck Taylors. The height difference is minimal and you feel much more stable during the pull. That's what I've found anyway. And shin scraping is fairly common on pulls, so I wouldn't be overly concerned.

    squats making a$$ too big

I've always had this problem. First genetics, then compounded with strength training. I've heard they're making jeans for strength athletes, but I just wear slacks and gym shorts. Gave up on jeans a long time ago. Haha. Old Navy loose fit are the closest thing I can do.
