    Eat more carbs. I put on weight by eating whole wheat bread. And I snack on pecans for an afternoon snack. Nuts have fat and the bread has carbs. Not only am I putting on more weight but I am putting on more muscle.

    Thank you for the tips. Exhaustion meaning, if I work out around 3pm and finish around 3:40, I feel sluggish for the rest of the evening. Just drained of energy. The next day I am usually fine though.

    I make sure to eat protein for breakfast and later on in the afternoon I lift. When I am done lifting I tend to feel exhausted. I get enough carbs throughout the day and I am really fit and have a good deal of energy on days when I am not lifting. What could be the cause of this?

    Eat more. Your lifting is probably fine. I am currently making gains because I am eating more. You have a lean frame, so eat more things like sweet potato and pasta.

    Sounds like you are doing too much cardio. It's hard to put on weight if you are running everyday. Scale it down to no more than 40 minutes of running per week.

    I find that overhead presses, military presses and lat pull down grow my biceps. I also do squats. I hardly ever do curls. Big compound exercises grow the biceps oddly enough.

    @Gage, imho this is counterintuitive, but consider dropping your workouts down to two a week. They can still be intense but this will give your body more time to recooperate. I find that I make tremendous gains only working out twice a week and I have a ton of muscle on me.
