Recovery shoes/sandals

Didn’t know where to ask this but rehab seemed appropriate. I’m looking into recovery shoes/sandals, especially now after long work days bussing tables like a slave lol. A couple brands I’m looking at are OOFOs, vktry, Kane and stand+. I like the idea of them for relief on feet, but would like a little more support than what Crocs have, (I have a pair of crocs). Anyways, does anyone here wear shoes like this for after workouts or work?

I have a pair of the OOFOs, they are super squishy but feel pretty good. I have seen the Kane out and about as the flavor of the month as of late. The OOFOs have enough support for me but if they get wet, watch out. Since they are squishy/stretchable when I wore them to the water park, my feet would go out the front toe opening with no problem

I ordered a pair of Kanes but had to return them because my heel slipped terribly. Same thing happened with my son when trying on a pair and his foot is shaped differently. So FYI there.

Makes me wonder if that's why I see them on marketplace for cheap.

I just got this pair of shoes called squarez! They are made with working people like delivery employees in mind I was told they're also great in the gym. Could be worth a look on your end... so far I like mine a lot but I'm still trying to get long term use in

Thanks for the replies everyone! @rodefeeh Yeah the slipping of the kanes doesn’t sound good. Also @littlrook yeah shipping out doesn’t sound good. Luckily I’m looking at the closed toed clogs more than the open toe. So it’s a little more formal because I plan on wearing them a lot. @SalvationLabs can you send a link or source for the Squarez, I can’t find them online, it redirects me to golfing shoes called Sqairs lol.

I actually really like my xero prio nero shoes for around the house/ after work if I cant find my slides
I wear xero prio shoes around the house as well. I can't' wear flip flops/slides. My calves get super tight walking around in them. My only gripe about the prios is the tongue sags down for me because I have low volume narrower feet. I'd be open to try other barefoot shoes but stores don't really carry them. It's always a gamble ordering shoes. I've returned so many.

I feel you on the shoes. My right foot is 1 size smaller than my left so finding a pair that fits both is rare

Not while I work, just at home and out and about like grocery shopping and family walks.

Ok I didn't even realize this was such a big thing, I haven't seen half these brands, sorry can't help there.

I was just thinking along the lines of potentially finding something that alleviated some of that need by maybe finding something better for during work.

I’ll take work shoe recommendations as well, but they have to be restaurant non slip approved

That's a shame, but I understand.
I bought a LOT of pretty expensive shoes, trying to find the "best" ones for me to wear working long shifts on concrete. Several times, I thought "that's it, I'll never find a better pair than these"... But I was wrong. Out of the dozens of shoes that I bought, the best ones turned out to be a pair of Brooks (the specific make matters, not just the brand).
The downside for me is, they are a lighter color, and because I wore them Every day to work, they now look pretty bad ... Although their structure is as good as it ever was.

But Also ..... I realized through trial and error, that it isn't Just about the shoe. A good insert (not necessarily expensive) helps Tremendously.

I'm sure there are Probably better inserts out there for hundreds of dollars, but I think that the one I landed on was just Dr Scholl's, gel inserts (there was probably more to the name than that, I'd have to look...
But, if you don't already have a GOOD pair, that might be a good place to start.

My running shoes are actually brooks, huge fan! I also dabble in different inserts. I bought a cheap pair of Walmart shoes that were restaurant non slip because I’m really hoping it won’t be much longer before I’m hired by a fire department. But the first thing I did with the crappy Walmart shoes was put in a new pair of inserts, I think the brand is Spenco, or something like that, they are old inserts from a while ago I had in work boots.

I recently left that job. But I'm following for recovery shoes thoughts. I know nothing about those.

So far I’m thinking the OOFOS clogs style, or the VKTRY shoes that look like crocs. My issue is the same as another person stated though, I hate buying shoes online before trying them on. Clothes I couldn’t care less, but shoes I just have to try on before committing because I’m very particular about them. They have to be a perfect fit like Dorothy’s slipper for me to be satisfied lol.

I bought my OOFOS instore at REI about 2yr ago
I just looked and the closest REI is an hour away from me, but I’ll have to make the drive. It sucks because north Dallas had absolutely every store you could think of 20 min away, here, niche stores are all very far, another L for Florida.

Thats one of the few good things about DFW, you can get just about anything within 20-30min if you dont hit traffic

Well I think I have in mind what I’m getting, OOFOS actually has a mesh slipper that I think I’ll like. I think a mesh top would feel more comfortable around the house and not feel as bulky. I’m actually going back to Texas next week because our house finally went under contract (it took 4 months) and there is a scheels in the colony that I can go and actually try them on first, so that’s pretty cool!

Hope you have a decent drive. We go to Destin every year so I know the route well lol
We actually flew this time and moved the rest of our stuff with a POD. Got in late last night. Ended up making it to Scheels to try on the OOFOS and I didn’t like them at all lol.

AH! lol did you find something while you were there at least?
Unfortunately not, tried various slippers/sandals and didnt like anything. I think I’m going to buy new hey dudes and play with some more inserts. That’s what I have now and it feels the best to me. So if anyone has insole recommendations, I’m listening! I knew someone said Dr scholls on here.

Before I got into Xeros, I had a pair of slip on Skechers for around the house similar to these. They eventually tore my arches with how mushy they were. Do not recommend.

I have been thinking about trying out the Reef Neptunes this summer?
