Eviscerate Smolder - The King of Topical Fat Loss


Eviscerate Smolder is a targeted topical formulated to drive localized lipolysis in subcutaneous adipose tissue while supporting thermogenic adipocyte remodeling for long-term body recomposition.


Lipolysis: The Foundation


Lipolysis is the enzymatic process of breaking down stored triglycerides inside of fat cells and releasing free fatty acids and glycerol into circulation to be burned. Initiated by a rush of chemical signals, including adrenaline/noradrenaline and dopamine, lipolysis is a pretty straightforward, linear process.


For many people, the biggest barrier to fat loss is initiating and sustaining lipolysis in subcutaneous, stubborn spots (usually abdominals/love handles for men and hips/thighs/butt for women). Smolder is engineered to target exactly this step through precise pathways, while its secondary browning effects offer long-term protection against fat accumulation.


Adipocyte Types


It is generally currently accepted that there are three types of fat cells: white adipocytes, brown adipocytes, and BRITE (or beige) adipocytes.


White adipose is our well-known nemesis. It sits around storing more and more fat, increasing in size and multiplying in number while sending out inflammatory signals that prevent lipolysis. They also send other important metabolic signals, but that's beyond the scope of our conversation. Mitochondria (true fat-burning organelles) are few in number.


Brown fat is most well-known in hibernating animals. Brown fat contains small droplets and a significant number of mitochondria. Brown fat generates heat from the fatty acids it contains, providing both energy and warmth for our sleeping fuzzy friends.


BRITE fat is a relatively new discovery. They are hybrid cells halfway between white and brown. They also generate significant heat using their own fat stores, which make them highly desirable. Interestingly enough, white cells can be forced into turning into BRITE cells with the right signals.


Adipocyte Browning: Long-Term Prevention


Smolder doesn't just help break down fat in stubborn areas - it also supports turning some of those stubborn white fat cells into BRITE (beige) fat cells. These BRITE cells act more like brown fat: they burn their own stored fat to create heat instead of just storing it.


This "browning" process helps protect against new fat buildup in the treated areas over time. Several ingredients in Smolder (including Raspberry Ketones, Black Seed Oil, and our TRP channel activators) work together to encourage this beneficial remodeling. The result? Better long-term body recomposition instead of the fat simply coming back.

cAMP and Phosphodiesterases: The Master Switch


The body burns fat when it perceives that energy is low, usually made apparent by some kind of (real or simulated) life-threatening situation - aka fight or flight. Hormones like adrenaline/noradrenaline flood the body to initiate the process of lipolysis.


The primary driver of lipolysis is cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP). Rising cAMP levels activate protein kinase A (PKA), which phosphorylates perilipin (the gatekeeper of lipid droplets, both protecting them and enabling them to be tapped for burning) and stimulates hormone-sensitive lipase (HSL) and adipose triglyceride lipase (ATGL). This allows coordinated breakdown of triglycerides: ATGL initiates the first step of cleaving a fatty acid acyl group from triacylglycerides leaving diacylglyceride. HSL continues on diacylglyceroide by cleaving another acyl away leaving monoacylglyceride, and finally monoacylglyceride lipase completes the process and releases all of the free fatty acids and glycerol into circulation to be burned.


Phosphodiesterases (PDEs) are enzymes which rapidly degrade cAMP, while adenosine A1 receptors suppress its production. Why would they do that? Because prior to our life in a literal smorgasbord of plenty, starvation was both real and deadly. Nature has many ways to preserve resources - and fat deposits are high-prize assets.


Smolder uses a multi-layered strategy to overcome both barriers, since we are more concerned with health and appearance over surviving famine.


Direct cAMP Elevation:


Forskolin directly activates adenylate cyclase, rapidly increasing cAMP production. It also increases HSL.


EGCG (isolated from Green Tea) does two things in our formula - it inhibits an enzyme called COMT, which breaks down our adrenaline/noradrenaline and dopamine, shutting down lipolysis, and affects ATGL.


Broad PDE Inhibition and Adenosine A1 Receptor Antagonism:


Think of adenosine as the backbone molecule critical for energy states. When unphosphorylated adenosine is high it binds to various adenosine receptors which make us sleepy. Blocking adenosine receptors (via caffeine and other methylxanthines) keeps us awake. Increasing levels of adenosine phosphates (AMP, ADP, and ATP) signals increasing levels of energy availability.


Caffeine and our Theophylline/Aminophylline complex are methylxanthines that both inhibit PDEs (slowing cAMP breakdown) and block adenosine A1 receptors (preventing adenosine from suppressing cAMP formation). This dual mechanism strongly sustains elevated cAMP and lipolytic activity.


Isoform-Specific PDE Support:


While multiple PDEs exist, two of these are especially potent at inhibiting lipolysis - PDE3B and PDE4D. Citrus Sudachi provides extremely potent targeted PDE3B inhibition and Selaginella Tamariscina provides potent PDE4D inhibition, ensuring more complete and prolonged cAMP signaling in adipocytes.


This stacked cAMP/PKA/HSL/ATGL axis forms the aggressive core of Smolder’s lipolytic action.

AMPK Activation and Anti-Adipogenic Support:


Parallel to the cAMP pathway, AMPK (Adenosine Monophosphate Kinase) promotes fatty acid mobilization while inhibiting new fat storage and downregulating lipogenic genes. AMPk plays into the adenosine energy sensing model, though, in contrast to cAMP, generally switches the whole body system away from energy consuming processes (muscle building, fat storage) and towards energy/ATP replenishment. By trigger AMPk locally in fat cells, we dramatically augment cAMP induced lipolysis without negatively affecting our full body state. Muscle mass is preserved everywhere else, and localized lipolysis is enhanced


Pterostilbene - Potent AMPK activator that drives fatty acid oxidation and reduces lipid accumulation.


Naringenin - Activates AMPK to enhance lipolysis and fatty acid oxidation while exerting anti-adipogenic effects. It inhibits the TGFβ/Smad3 signaling pathway, reducing adipose fibrosis and creating a more permissive microenvironment for sustained fat breakdown. Under β-adrenergic stimulation from the cAMP stack, it further boosts UCP1 expression and beige adipocyte formation via PKA/p38 MAPK and PPARγ pathways.


Raspberry Ketones - Increases HSL/ATGL activity, suppresses autophagy, and promotes fatty acid release and oxidation, with additional adipocyte browning support (increases PRDM16/PGC-1α/UCP1).


EGCG - In addition to COMT inhibition and ATGL activation, EGCG provides AMPK activation to prolong catecholamine-driven lipolysis and thermogenesis.


Black Seed Oil - Supports AMPK/HO-1 signaling for lipolysis and anti-inflammatory effects. Thymoquinone, the main active compound, is also a highly potent inducer of adipocyte browning.

These components work together to sustain lipolysis and limit re-accumulation in treated areas.


TRP Channel Stimulation for Local Signaling:


Transient receptors are environmentally dependent sensors that activate or not based on external factors, such as outside temperature.


TRPV1 activates from excessive heat. It stimulates the body to use energy in order to "cool off" the body. While we can't spend every day in the hot summer sun, we have several natural compounds that trick the body into thinking it's very hot - notably Capsaicin and Stearoyl Vanillylamide. While Capsaicin causes a dramatic burning sensation, our ethosomal carrier makes sure that the Capsaicin penetrates deep into the adipocytes, which will result in a pleasant deep warming feeling. SV, while activating the same receptor, doesn't cause the same sensation. Both of these ingredients also trigger browning of white fat cells.


TRPM8 is similar, but it activates under conditions of frigid cold. The body's reaction should be obvious to you - it then burns body fat in an attempt to increase warmth. This dual TRPV1/TRPM8 activation is confusing and expensive for the body, causing it to use significant body fat to try to both heat and cool the body simultaneously. TRPM8 is also a potent browning agent. We use L-Menthol to activate TRPM8.


Mitochondrial Support and Fatty Acid Handling:


L-Carnitine facilitates transport of released fatty acids into mitochondria for oxidation (true fat "burning").


Pyruvic Acid - Supports cellular energy metabolism under increased lipolytic demand, enabling the body to "keep up".


Adipose Tissue Remodeling and Microenvironment Optimization:


For lipolysis to remain effective long-term, rather than simply moving the fat around before sticking it right back where it came from, the subcutaneous adipose tissue must stay healthy and permissive. Adipose tissue, like most other tissues in the body, is surrounded by a stiff, fibrotic extracellular collagen matrix that physically restrains and prevents fat loss. In addition to our potent browning effect, Smolder includes a dedicated tissue remodeling complex to deal with this.


Morroniside, an iridoid glycoside from Corni Fructus Officinalis, modulates BMP/Smad signaling to promote perilipin phosphorylation (the first guardian we ran into. Normally protective of fat cells, when "activated" perilipin opens the door for lipolysis). It also helps activate BMP14, a specialized form of bone morphogenetic protein that is a potent remodeler of connective tissue, reducing stiffness and allowing easy remodeling.


TECA (extract of Centella Asiatica) activates AMPK/HSL and induces Smad7 to reduce TGF-β-driven fibrosis, improving adipocyte access and tissue remodeling.


18β-Glycyrrhetinic Acid directly and potently stimulates HSL/ATGL and inhibits the 11β-HSD1 enzyme to short-circuit cortisol and reduce visceral and subcutaneous fat.


β-Escin - Enhances microcirculation, venous tone, and lymphatic drainage for efficient clearance of released fatty acids. It also stimulates PGF2α production, part of a "first responder" team that deals with injuries, helping mobilize fatty acids for energy and repair.


Arachidonic Acid supplies the raw material for PGF2α, delivering a prostaglandin-driven lipolytic signal that stimulates HSL/ATGL, promotes lipophagy (scavenging of waste adipocytes), and inhibits adipogenesis. It synergizes with β-escin to amplify local PGF2α effects in the upper hypodermis.

A2 Adrenergic Hyper-Balancer:


One of THE main causes of stubborn fat deposits, α2 receptors work in the exact opposite manner of the β2 receptor (which react to adrenaline/noradrenaline to start the whole process of lipolysis we have explained here). When α2 activation outnumbers β2 activation, lipolysis is simply blocked, and the stubborn fat remains - mocking you.


Yohimbine HCl is an α2-adrenergic antagonist (blocker) that allows lipolysis to proceed unrestricted. One of the main keys to the formula's effectiveness.


PPARα and OEA: The Oxidation Amplifier


Smolder also leverages Oleoylethanolamide (OEA) to activate PPARα (peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha). OEA is a potent natural ligand for PPARα, a nuclear receptor that drives mitochondrial and peroxisomal β-oxidation of the free fatty acids released during lipolysis.

While receptor density isn't super high on white adipocytes, they are there and we are going to leverage them to the max. Having covered two steps in the lipolytic process, with the linear removal of fatty acids from the glycerol backbone (ATGL which removes the first fatty acid from a triglyceride, while HSL to remove the second) we then run into a bottleneck with the last fatty acid and our glycerol. This final fatty acid is cleaved by monoacylglyceride lipase (or MGL). So what do we have that increases MGL and frees up our bottleneck? OEA.


This pathway ensures the fats mobilized by the cAMP stack, AMPK activators, and TRP channels are actually burned for energy instead of simply recirculating and re-storing. PPARα activation further supports the browning process already driven by Raspberry Ketones, Black Seed Oil, and TRP agonists, while adding mild anti-inflammatory effects that help keep the adipose microenvironment healthy. Over time, this browning effect increases local PPARα receptor density, making the formula progressively more effective with consistent use.


The net result is more complete fat loss in stubborn areas with better long-term protection against re-accumulation - turning temporary mobilization into sustained oxidation and remodeling.


Advanced Subcutaneous Delivery:


You can take this entire ingredient complex and rub it anywhere you want, but if you don't have the perfect delivery system then you won't get any results at all.

I recently purchased a bottle of Smolder from DPS. The consistency is perfect. Very gel-like. I also like the pump bottles. Hoping the new version can be just as good consistency-wise.

I definitely had the opposite experience. The second I started rubbing it in it would turn into these little bits and balls. I tried doing a hot bath and shaking it and that still didn't work.

Edit: I actually had a bottle of the old one, I haven't tried the new just released one so that's my bad.

This is one of the main reasons I upgraded the carrier. No more carbomer balls.
 
Probably about 10 days later.
How is this progressing? I'd love to have a chance to run this during my cut but it seems as though I may be finished before this is ready to ship. I had discussed my wife testing out a custom version for you but we might run into the same issue if she hits her target weight before the product is ready.

There's a really hefty discount on two packs that I missed as I ordered the single bottle as soon as I saw it. Dsade got me squared away in other ways though so it's not much of a concern.
 
@dsade This has got me curious as I’m around 12% bf at the moment and focussed on getting to single digits (7 to 8% bf).
I wanted to enquire whether there is a significant Yohimbine HCL content, I.e around 40mg per serving in Eviscerate Smoulder to attack the stubborn fat Alpha-2 receptors ?
