Slicin' and Dicin'

yup, his calves are almost double mine in appearance, I should tape mine and his for comparrison. he has some fat in the mid section but his legs are absolutely rock solid and fuggin' huge. I think his arms might already be bigger than mine and he has the stretch marks to show his remarkable growth speed the past 2 years.
He’s a big boy….that’s great he wants to compete. That’s right up your alley, so you guys are going to have a blast taking that journey together. Good thing your Dad’s got a cattle farm to help feed that boy. He’s still got a few years to grow taller too.💪😎

Good workout, and congrats on the PR.
Weight up + waist down = sex god😂

That would be pretty awesome if your son starts competing. Particularly since it sounds like he has the base built for it.

Don't worry about him convincing you, if push comes to shove just tell him that you'll help train him for it - but that it's his time to shine!

Also, cool about your younger brothers lifting too. This to me is where genetics does come into play since you've got a whole family of lifters!

My boy has been doing a 50 rep challenge with his buddies for time at 95lbs so I had to try it. 1:08, single set lol

My boy and I helped each other through a 2-5 failed reps on our last sets of DB press, it was a wonderful misery.

I didn't want to squat today but my boy did so I pressed early in during his warmup then just got out of his way

He topped out at 350 today but form is

He's feeling the T flow through him, he's grunting, sweating, getting aggressive. He's taking it serious, setting goals, telling me he needs to train more. Turns 16 next week so I'm excited about maybe meeting after work to train together. I love the way he's getting into it.

Meal prep almost done for the week. I like to start with a carton of egg whites, add real eggs, scramble. Then throw on top of my rice for breakfasts. Then boil up a fresh batch of hard boiled snacks.

Whole process is like 20 minutes, maybe thirty tops with the rice.

skin splitting pump today and I just wanted to keep going. one of the few times that lifting with a partner really slowed me down but it was a great session.

morning routine:

anabolic XT
m test
1 x alpha one capsule
xpg carnitine.

creatine at work with shaker
had about 60oz of water in me before session
pump addict and another alpha one capsule preWO

eggs and rice for breakfast. apple preWO. now, chicken, salad, protein shake.

Plot twist. my arms felt like canons today and looked good, IMO. made my delts and traps seem smol, which are usually one of my bigger standouts 😂 😂

Gonna take a forced rest day tomorrow, start over Weds. cut cals/carbs a bit I think tomorrow, try to fit in some cardio (walking, LISS) then going absolutely ham on traps/shoulders day later.

Cardio

Morning walks - 3 x 10min
Stairs - 20min
Incline - 20min

Total - 70min

Trying to force a fairly high octane week where I can because tomorrow will be an off day from weights, Friday is an event day and Saturday planning an all day date day with my wife to celebrate our 5th anniversary.

Contemplating fasting 16:8 tomorrow to help with a little inflammation and offset some calories since I won't be lifting.

Happy Anniversary!!!

Sunday will be our 6th! I didn’t realize we’d been married before you guys.

thats funny dude I didn't realize the dates were so close too. We were gonna elope in Thailand, I had a Christian pastor lined up, marriage certs ready to file in Bangkok, everything but flights were cancelled like 2 weeks before hand because of COVID and the island of Koh Samui was put on complete lockdown so we ended up with a small puget sound beach wedding. In some ways it was a blessing because all four of our kids were there, my folks, her aunt and uncle (parents are passed), and my buddy served as our Reverend. Thailand remains on the bucket list, possibly another anniversary!

Kinda to help reinforce/force my rest day, brought the little one to work today. (since I can't abandon her to hit the gym and technically shouldn't walk her in many public places yet)

My wife works 5 minutes from our house, so her puppy routine is to zip home, check on dogs, water and pee break. so me taking the dog for the day gives her a nice break and means on her lunch break today she will be checking out another gym by her office. Which I'm hoping she really enjoys because as much as I want to love my buddy's PL gym, its just not a good vibe for her. machines are constantly broke down, the place never gets cleaned. it's a $hit show. she needs a better gym.

I am going to maintain my 16:8 fast today, and truly just enjoy a rest day.

I am thinking of getting ahold of @sns8778 to plan my next stack. I'm almost out of M-Test and I'm on my last bottle of anabolic XT. I'm thinking about this for the next 2 months:

Prime
Phosphatidic Acid XT
XPG Carnitine
Creatine

Any other thoughts pro/against or suggestions for a decent natty stack beyond that? I'm hoping to keep the cut on a certain level of cruise control through summer.

I use M-Test year round as part of my general health regimen, I don't really think of it as part of a cycle. I have an endocrinology condition and it helps me a lot with keeping my test levels and especially free test levels up and I just in general feel better and have a better libido on it.

I love Anabolic XT and usually run it for 12 to 16 weeks.

My thoughts would be:
  • M-Test - can be used year round so no reason to come off unless you just want to switch up.
  • Anabolic XT - I usually run longer than 8 weeks, so you could continue if you wanted and it would go well with the rest of this stack.
  • ATP Elite
  • Prime XT
  • L-Carnitine Gel
  • Pepti-Bolic (I know you're not going to use this many, just giving different options)
ATP Elite:
I think you would like ATP Elite - it will cover the Creatine aspect and add a lot more and is great for strength, which I know is important to you.

Prime XT:
Prime XT is great for strength gains in most people. Some people feel it kick in sooner and see nice consistent results; for others it kicks in between weeks 3 and 5 and they see crazy strength increases pretty quick then and then consistent after that.

I think you'll like it, and I think you should keep an open mind to continuing it - like get 2 bottles and try it and just keep in the back of your mind that you may continue past the 2 bottles.

XPG L-Carnitine Gel:
Great and very underrated product and will go great with ATP Elite.

Pepti-Bolic:
Both ingredients in Pepti-Bolic have real human clinical studies showing increased protein synthesis, improved recovery, strength gains, endurance, and muscle gains.

Feedback has been that this is great on a cut for helping not feel as beat down and fatigued and helping with recovery and muscle feeling and appearing much fuller. Also, many have reported surprising consistent strength gains even when on a cut.

I totally agree, my energy and mood has been like PED level wow!

I hadn't even thought about just maintaining for a 3rd bottle, I think that's a great idea. I always run 2. may as well keep this gravy train going.

would you stack it with A XT, or would you wait and run it after?

XPG L-Carnitine Gel:

A staple, I swear this gives me energy and pumps. I love it around an hour+ preWO if I can but I swear I can feel it even those days I apply it in the lockerroom.

Pepti-Bolic:

another one that's hard to pass up even though I'm up to a lot of caps at this point. again, you would stack this with the A XT and Prime or run after?

I usually tend to run most things for at least 12 weeks and ideally 16 weeks.

Prime XT would be a great addition to your stack if you keep it going; no reason to wait.

Pepti-Bolic can be stacked with anything.

Well, based on my use prior and what you've got in mind, I'd maybe opt for:

PrimeXT
Pepti-Plex (or Pepti-Bolic)
XPG carnitine
ATP Elite - I haven't given this one a shot yet, have a bottle, but between this and the carnitine I think this would be a synergistic stack.

Good stuff, I'll organize a shopping list for Steve tomorrow probably lol.

We separated our Reds from our Easter Eggers a week or two ago because we suspected the older red hens were eating eggs. Turns out we were right, we have it narrowed down to 1 or 2 of them, and I'm pretty sure my old red hens might end up on the Traeger soon. Getting very clean eggs again, none broken. lately anywhere from 6-9 eggs a day, this was last nights haul.

Notes:
I was hammered by the time rack freed up for press. Two things that this session really brought to mind for me:

Some days I really want to lift alone. It's a but taxing having to keep pushing a lifting partner who does half the work..

I'm really getting a hankering to have my own gym again. It's getting tiresome fighting for time on a rack, or hitting a heavy set on the high pulls, then turning to grab the next barbell down for a dropset and it's gone.

My autistic OCD is through the roof. I use the same locker, the same bench, with the same routine at the same time daily. When other people show up out of routine it fuks my head up. I'm like where were you for the past three years? Why are you in my spot?

All in all though we moved hella fast and it was a lights out session. Wish I could have started with press and gone heavier but it was a fine finisher even if light weight.

The pump was awesome. the shoulder strirations were insane, vascularity throughout the delts. I felt super self concious trying to snap a quick pic in 1/10th of a second but I think this at least highlights my arm development the past year finally.

only negative to note is left elbow is a little sensitive and I could feel it even in those DB OHP's today. I'm hoping it's nothing but I'll need to watch it a little. I've gone ham lately, but I think its more from squats than arm work.

Delts and arms are looking beastly!
thanks dude! I couldn't capture any of the details I was seeing in my embarassing click n go selfie but it feels good to be seeing vascularity (which you can't see in this pic) and shoulder veins etc. I feel like I'm earning the right to be back in a tank top lol. I didn't even think to flex my arms I was trying to capture the shoulders haha but damn I was like that arm ain't so smol no more.

And I would say looking at that picture compared to the pictures where you were cut in that 10% range, that you have probably added a good 10 lbs of muscle, which is significant for an experienced lifter. So when you do get back to the 10% - 12% range that you will weigh a solid 10 lbs heavier than you did back then…..good job.💪😎👍

Today in the air-conditioned commercial gym, which was totally comfortable, I was sweating so much in my tank top it looked like I had just come out of the sauna. Beads of sweat dripping into my eyes and streams running down off my delts. I basically have to train in a tank top whenever I’m not squatting or benching (where I need the extra shoulder traction) to mitigate body temp.

Your kid is a beast! That vid of him squatting the other day he made the bar look small lol. He’s gonna smash some records!
last night at "family dinner" he gave us the full break down. current school PR's to beat by weight class are:

201lbs - 425lbs
220+ - 450lbs
440+ - 475lbs

these seem scaled a little too perfect so I don't know if he's 100% accurate but he was thinking if he gets close to taking it in his class, maybe trying to take the 201 class, then spend senior year bulking to go for the heavy weight title. I did find a local meet with a youth devision (16-17yr olds) at end of summer so we'll see if he gets serious enough to give it a try.... he only turns 16 next week and is in his sophomore year so he has a LOT of time to train. He has 375 in his head for this school year. that might be a stretch... but if he hits that damn he is on a good pace.

keep in mind last summer when I taught him how to squat we stopped him at 175 cause it was hard. he was learning form, did not have the core or posterior strength. now the dude can basically pause 315. on that 350 he did in the video you saw he actually did a 1 1/3 squat on accident lol. he dropped down, came up about 1/3, dropped down again then stood up with it. I was like dude that would have wrecked me 😂

his legit PR with no spot is currently 355-

thanks dude, really appreciate that! 🤘 💪 🔥 going as hard as I can and trying to hold myself accountable to feed the recovery instead of just allowing myself to crash diet to manipulate the scale. I do think that I'm getting a lot of looks at the gym lately, I notice eyes on me when I'm lifting. even my normal lifting buddy seems confused, lol. <-- maybe this is just me being narcissistic but it definitely feels like I'm being noticed/watched more. However I also probably grunt, spit, groan, and yell more than I think too cause headphones are blaring haha.

I told my wife last night I am thinking of cutting carbs lower next week for one week because we travel next saturday and I know lifting and eating will fall off a little. My lifting belt was very easily on hole 3 for yesterdays session on the sets where I wore it, weighed in at 192 so I know this recomp is working crazy well. my weight is either flat, to slightly up, but waist is still trimming down very slowly.

despite that, there is an impatient side of me that wants to step it up a notch. From across the locker room my abs are absolutely fire. popping out, but then when I stand closer to the mirror they're washed out quite a bit so I have some improvements needed there but getting closer!

another thing I'm really curious about is the idea of splitting my 2 a days into two legit lifting sessions rather than lifting + cardio. then maybe just having an easy enjoyable LISS day every third day as an active recovery day. I feel like if calories/nutrition are kept fairly tight, this may still have the same progress.

Got away with a customer golf outting today so I pounded my rice and eggs for breakfast, an apple during golf, decent serving of fettuccine leftovers and bread from last night, bunch of hard boiled eggs, slammed my preWO with an alpha one and popped into the gym on the way to my boys track meet..

Threw in a little bench/shoulder/arm work cause tomorrow will be date day with the wife so I don't see gym in my itinerary, lol.

Basically today was a play day. Fun pump for such light weight today.

Heck yeah that’s a session!

That’s a nice session, good volume…..you’ve been consistently keeping your volume up for a while, and it’s paying off.💪👍
Hope you and your Lady enjoyed your anniversary celebration.😎👍

We had a great week to be honest, albeit exhausting . We drove up to Bellevue which was about 70minutes for date day then visited a number of fish stores on the way home (the fish store circuit as we call it). By last night we were falling asleep on the couch.

Today she just wanted to work in her garden which makes me happy because she hasn't been super into her garden for a few years and this year it's been really big to her again so after hitting the gym, mowing the lawn, general yard clean up, tending to the fish tank, I did all the weekly laundry catch up, some meal prep and now I'm finally on the couch watching a little golf until it's time to fire up the grill.

She hates laundry but does 90% of our cooking and I'm autistic enough to have a specific way I want my laundry done so it works

I'll admit, my back is more sore from bending over the bed folding laundry than anything I do at the gym.

I despise folding laundry. Mostly because the wife wants it done a certain way and I can never remember how to do it. But underwear are the most annoying. I never fold her underwear correctly and I always mix and match my 7 and 3 year old girls undies. It’s crazy how they seem like the same size. lol

lol. half the time it seems like folding womens laundry is doing a rubics cube. I don't even understand what some of these garments are. I'm like is this a shirt??
