    Most likely: 1.) Overestimating maintenance calories 2.) Underestimating total caloric intake Or, if you subscribe to the whole a calorie isn't a calorie philosophy, it's probably partly because you're eating junk on a consistent basis.

    Whenever I wake up in the morning I'm always hungry until I drink some water, then i'm usually good until noon

    I've been getting by on less than a full scoop of white flood for a couple months now. I rarely ever use the full scoop. I think that if I used any more of it pre WO I would have a tough time leaving the gym, lol

    Yeah, around noon. Not immediately post workout, but still part of the first real post workout meal.

    If you workout in the morning but have your first meal around noon, is there any point in using whey protein? By using BCAA's like Martin describes you end up getting ~30g protein in the form of powder anyways.

    Don't use bulking as an excuse to eat like absolute ****. Have a consistent sleep schedule and make sure you're getting enough quality sleep.

  13. Deadlifts. who does them??

    I just give deadlifts their own day now. I used to do deads when I worked my back, but I would spend so much damn time loading/unloading the bar and warming up that I would be in the gym too long. Now I just do deads on a separate day and throw in some bicep/ab work afterwards.

    I agree. I think one of the biggest mistakes people make while "bulking" is to eat like ****. If you want cheat meals every now and then, it's not going to harm you, especially if you are trying to gain weight. Having said that, I just don't see how people can justify something like eating ice...
