  1. Fitness / Activity Trackers -- Yay or Nay? Best Product?

I purchased an older model of the jawbone (UP24). It doesn't have a heartrate monitor, but it is decent for tracking steps and seems to monitor your "active" level for calorie expenditure. Not sure how truly accurate it is, but it seems to be ok. The thing I like most is that it links to...
  2. Post-Op Shoulder Surgery, does this sound normal?

I had a slap tear repaired around 6 years ago. It was a minor slap tear that required no anchors. I had roughly same rehab schedule as OP. Sling for 1 months, 2 months PT. I wasn't really comfortable w everything till roughly a year or so later. There is still some discomfort from time to...

My slap tear occurred during a snowboarding crash. Landed on my shoulder roughly, separating it. Originally diagnosed as a sprain. When I finally got the surgery, my recovery time was not terribly long. I think I had roughly two months of PT following, but my was only a small tear that was...
  8. NEEDMOAR TOTAL!

I'm in to follow this. New to this site and really new to powerlifting(hoping to compete for the first time this year). Just here to gather as much info as I can and hopefully translate it to my own training. Seems to be a wealth of quality info here.
  9. AC joint separation/pain

OP, are you opposed to surgery to have the labral tear fixed? I know it isn't probably the optimal option, but from my experience, it worked well. I had nearly the same situation, sprained AC joint later diagnosed as a partial SLAP tear after an MRI. Downside was for me, I had nearly 7 years...
