From what I've read, it is a hormone that you want to test for. If deficient then begin at 25mgs and test again in 5 months. I guess well known side effects can be 1) excessive assertiveness or crabbiness, and 2) insomnia if taken at bedtime.
My exercise trainer began eating a low carb/ paleo diet along with adding the supplements vitamin D3 and fish oil around two weeks ago. He had a decent amount of acne. Surprisingly his zits have all but cleared up. He was excited about it.
