  1. Powerlifting program for over 45

Black iron beast website has a nice calculator for the cube program, starting it today.
  2. Powerlifting program for over 45

I was also thinking of devoting 2 days per week to deadlift since I enjoy that the most and seeing how heavy I could get. The other day would be used to maintain bench and squat. Maybe the cube would be good for that.
  3. Powerlifting program for over 45

Thanks Hyde! I'll read up on the cube program, not too familiar with that one.
  4. Powerlifting program for over 45

Thanks I agree.....seems like the best one even for old guys like me.
  5. Powerlifting program for over 45

Looking for some advice here, I just turned 47 and I've been lifting heavy for about 5 years. 5'10" 240lbs Bench - 355 Dead - 465 Squat - 355 Looking to find a good 3 day a week program to increase strength. Not interested in bodybuilding or losing weight, only strength. Would you guys...
  6. Stay on TRT or back to Natty

I am going to be 47 in two weeks and I struggled with low T for years. I finally found an endocrinologist willing to try TRT last year. I've been on Testosterone Cypionate for about a year now and it's been amazing. I'm on a fairly low dose (.75 ml per week) but my numbers are good. I'm...
  7. Oblique pull

Ok thanks Jay I appreciate the help! I'll make an appointment with my doctor to get a referral for an ultrasound just to be sure. Thanks again!
  8. Oblique pull

Felt my oblique muscle pull today during a deadlift set, first time it's happened. Does anyone have any advice on what to do while it heals? It doesn't feel too bad, just annoyingly sore. I am guessing I'll be laying off heavy deads for a couple of weeks, just looking for some thoughts on...
  9. Testosterone levels

No I haven't but I will bring it up the next time I meet with him. Thanks.
  10. Testosterone levels

Hi sammpedd88 - here are the ranges: Total test: 250 - 1100 ng/dl Free test: 35 - 155 pg/ml Initial Total test back in September was 186 ng/dl but it was taken in the afternoon so my endo wanted another test, which came back at 281.
  11. Testosterone levels

I've been seeing an Endo lately to try and move my test levels up, he is a good doctor but a little old school. My overall numbers are: Total test - 281 ng/dl Free test - 73.3 pg/ml The free test looks pretty normal, and the total is on the lower side but clinically normal according to him...
  12. Is going natural worth it?

Update Sorry guys I won't be able to do a report on TRT as I won't be getting any from the endo. My total testosterone has gone up to 281 ng/dl and free testosterone has gone up to 73.3 pg/ml. The only thing I did differently was have the blood drawn in the A.M. and I have gotten off of...
  13. Is going natural worth it?

No it's not the only solution, lifestyle changes can help. He wants me to go that route first so we will see how much that affects T. It's really all individual, throwing out all the crap I've bought at the local supplement shop in the mall should help as will getting off certain types of anti...
  14. Is going natural worth it?

Second appointment for me coming up this week, Endo wants another blood test before going forward. I can see this being somewhat of a long process so I have no idea when or if I will be prescribed TRT, but I will keep you all informed as I go.
  15. Is going natural worth it?

So my appointment is Tuesday and I am hopeful I can start TRT soon. I was searching online for treatments and on the adrogel website, my endo is listed under "where to locate a doctor" so I'm assuming he is open to that. I will start the thread under the Male anti-aging medication forum and...
