    Meet results: Weighed in at 179, Squat 375, Bench 270, Deadlift 441. Total = 1086 Less than I'd hoped for, but better than last year, and I'm not getting any younger. So it's a win.

    Tuesday was the Deadlifts 135*12 225*3 315*3 435*2 -- almost three, need to work lockout. DOH shrugs for the grip w/225
  12. box squat depth

    I built a box, and leave it at the gym. A box of about 14" height is parallel for me, so I built mine 12"x14"x16" so I'd have a few options. I now almost exclusively squat on the 12" side of the box, and I'm confident about hitting depth when I get to a meet.

    I wish I would have figured this out in the early days when I had trouble gaining size: Rest more. Specifically your rest (recovery) is often neglected because it's not glamorized like workout routines and diets. There's also more money to be made in hawking diets/foods/supplements and workout...

    Saturday -- makeup squat day, missed yesterday. bar*20 135*5 225*3 345*4 This is good, puts me at an estimated max of over 380 with a few weeks left to train. Happy happy.

    Thursday bench bar*20 135*10 205*3 255*4 narrow 205*7 205*6 the 255*4 is a big PR for me. Remember, I did 253 max at last year's meet. This year I will open with it.
