2. emo

An entire subculture of people (usually angsty teens) with a fake personality. The concept of Emo is actually a vicious cycle that never ends, to the utter failing of humanity, and it goes something like this:

1. Girls say they like "sensitive guys" (lie)
2. Guy finds out, so he listens to faggy emo music and dresses like a dork so chicks will see that he is sensitive and not afraid to express himself (lie). He dyes his hair black, wraps himself in a stupid looking scarf, develops an eating disorder, and rants about how "nobody understands".
3. Now an emo guy, he meets Emo chick and they start dating, talking about how their well-off suburban lifestyles are terrible and depressing (lie)
4. Emo guy is just too much of a pussy. His penis is too small, he's too depressed to bathe, and has more mood swings than emo chick, and he doesn't even have a menstrual cycle. Emo chick dumps him, saying "It's not you, it's me." (lie) as she drives off with Wayne, the school jock and captain of the football team.
5. Emo guy goes home and cries, proceeds to write a weak song and strum a single string on his acoustic guitar. Another emo chick sees how he is so in touch with his feelings, and the cycle continues.

This is the sad truth of the emo lifestyle/music, and now that I look at how pathetic it really is, maybe the emos DO have something to cry about!

When she sees how sensitive and emo I have become, she'll definately go out with me!

There's a music TV channel that I get when I'm at college called like "The Fuse". Anyhow, they'd have this emo show when I got home from class every day where 14-year-old 'emo' kids could text in messages and they'd display them on a ticker at the bottom of the screen. My roomie and I used to always watch it and laugh at the things these kids just wasted 50 cents to say. 9 times out of 10 it was an argument over who's more emo. I'll never forget this beauty of a quote:

not fair to call this music crap. i like everything from slipknot to the beatles and back aroung to jonny cash and frank sanatra.
all music is good if at least one person enjoys it.

I guess not all of it is bad. But it is so highly marketed right now, that any 3 people can grab a guitar, drums, and bass and get a record deal. It's going the same way as the infamous Boy Bands of the late 90's, I guarantee you of that.

im not big into "mainstream" emo. i like more under ground stuff. b sides and what not.
i can name off bands i like to someone and they`ll have no clue. and that makes me happy that retards aren`t jamming to music i like.
 
I'm so behind with the times. You could rattle of mainstream names and I wouldn't know what the hell you're talking about.

I guess the closest things to emo I like are Modest Mouse and Radiohead. (I love radiohead).
