Hi All,
I couldn't find a topic relating to this, so I started one.
Have any of you made an effort to cut plastics out of your lives? I know it is damn near impossible to eliminate them all, but I'm seeing more and more reports of plastics causing a host of problems...particularly when heated. I have two sons (a 4 year old and a 1 year old). This started to catch my attention when I saw a movement among parents to abolish the use of plastic bottles to feed their children.
2 things I have recently done:
1. Abandoned drinking water from plastic bottles. This is hard because I hate tap water and prefer bottled water. At home, we have a reverse osmosis water filter and the same goes for work. I drink all of my water out of 24 oz glass mason jar now. I wash it every day.
2. I do not ever heat anything up inside plastic. Ie, microwaving leftovers in a styrofoam or plastic carton. It all goes onto a glass dish now.
