We had only been out about 20 mins. when we hooked him- we were fishing for dolphin and wahoo off a point near my aunt's house- so the tackle was fairly light for a fish that size...

Me and Ray (my buddy who owned the boat) passed the rod back and forth for 4.5 HOURS until we finally got him right to the boat- Ray went to gaff him, and he decided to run one last time straight under the boat, and the line got stuck on the engine mount as I tried to swing to the other side- snapped the line clean....

I dropped about 50 f'bombs in two minutes :(

haha....really./.lucky you didnt go for a swim with him!

Rachel and I actually swam out to the edge of the reef- there is about a 400 ft. drop off less than 200 ft. off shore- so you can actually snorkel in blue water- we saw a couple sharks one day....I was more worried about getting run over by the glass-bottom boat than anything :)
 
What was the girth? I guessed around 111 inches, which is actually longer. I did an average density calculation based on average girth to length ratio, and weight per cubic inch.

He was pretty big around (like a medium-to-large-size tree trunk), and the 8 foot was not counting the bill
 
Estimation is just another word for fudge factor. Might as well get as accurate as the data allows.

He was very similar in size to one I caught in Hawaii when I worked on my cousin's charter boat- so that is my basis of comparison :)

It went 442 lbs.

I need a new bottle of paravol and RPM. I was planning on running both for consecutive months but unexpected expenses prevented that. However, it has allowed me to run Reset alone w/o any stimulants. So by the time I get my new RPM bottle I may need just one pill. :lol:

Yep, I've really been sticking to the basics. It overly mundane, but keeping pool ready abs is great this time of year.:thumbsup:

I eat 90% the same thing everyday! Doens't bother me at all. I'll mix it up on the weekends a bit, but try to keep the macros the same 40/40/20

It makes keeping your diet in check easy. Did I eat what I ate yesterday. Yup.. Aiiiieeegghhttt...
