Ah. OKay. And even though swithing tuners was my favorite feature. Nothing like watching it in HD. I just need to get an HDMI hook up...

the h20's are supposed to come with cheapo hdmi cables.

If you want a 'good' hdmi cable pickup a belkin pureav silver series hdmi cables from buy.com for dirt cheap. They're as good or better than the top of the line monster hdmi's and if you buy them online they're less than half the price.

It's equiv to what you'd pay at wally world for a cheapy phillips hdmi (which they've jacked the prices on for some asshat reason, they used to be in the 2x range, now they're almost 4x).

Satire, any good freeware to capture streaming media? Primarily MP3's from MySpace?

I had this one called MyspaceGopher, but no longer works.

So, lately I use myspaceMP3.org

I always wondered if east coasters to stay up to watch sporting events. i.e. Monday night football

I used to...but I wake up at 5:45 for the gym, so I usually fall asleep!

Unless the Dolphins are beating the Broncos...then I'll stay awake!

:head:

No idea, most of the music I hear on myspace is el crappo anyways. I just stick to good ole irc for my mp3 needs.

Yup, if you want REALLY cheap cables that's the way to do it. I have an HDMI switching receiver and the super cheapo's cause drop-outs for me. Onkyo TX-SR805 THX Ultra 2, with HDMI 1.3a repeating (1080p). It's not as bad as the passive switching ones that are finicky as hell, but my sharp lcd gets drop outs, and digital noise problems with the dirt cheap cables. Probably because of the high powered speaker cables running right next to them.

All you're really paying for is good shielding and cable protection / better connector. The cheapo hdmi's are about as good as the super cheapo component cables. They work T.M. But if you have any sort of high powered interference anywhere near them you can get some serious artifacting / problems. HDMI doesn't have any CRC/Checksumming error correction abilities so if there's sufficient noise injection you start getting strange dot effects.

That place looks good...I never thought a seafood breakfast would sound enticing.

well everything but boiled squid for breakfast. I worked in eastern europe doing some research for awhile and they served boiled mini-squid for breakfast (calamari squid). With the ink in it, it was purple, gooey and tasted funny. But it was dirt cheap (like 50 cents for a plate) and got the job done.
