CEE and back pumps

I was doing a search for something specifically on CEE and back pumps and was wondering if anyone has ever expierenced back pumps while on CEE, more specifically Green Bulge ? I weigh 190lbs @ 5'9" and I take 5 capsules prior to working out(45 min). I've been doing this going on 2 weeks and have been feeling pain in my lower back since.

Anyone else expierencing this with Green Bulge ?

For me man. Creatine is what I use to COUNTER back pumps, mainly because water is the best cure for back pumps, and Creatine helps you hold water.

I would probably say your water intake isn't high enough. And before you say..."everything is in check" like everyone does, really take a serious look at it and think hard on it. Not saying you would lie, just saying I think alot do. ;)

Let me know man.

I'll go ahead and try it again at some point. I drink 2 gallons of water spread out from when I wake up in the morning (7:00am-11:00pm) when I go to bed, so if I should be drinking more let me know. I've tried monohydrate, trimalate, kre-alkalyn and have not had any back problems...holding water yes, but not back pain. For some reason I do with Green Bulge.

The reason why I say the product is because some of the other ingredients could possibly cause it and not just the CEE alone. I don't know. I'm just saying.

Hmm, I am really thinking its something else other than CEE. Try it again and make sure your water is really high. Let me know...

If anything, the taurine would help allevaite cramps and such...

This is interesting...it's got me confused...I would go back to another product if this is giving you problems.

BJ, looking solid in your avy, btw.

Also too, I was wondering if there is any scientific evidence that the ethyl ester is cleaved off once the CEE reaches the muscle. A lot of the studies indicate 'how' CEE should work, but I myself cannot find scientific evidence to actually verify that the muscle is still saturated with creatine while taking CEE only. The science behind it creating the ethyl ester group for it to be more lipopholic, thus better penetration, but what mechanism in the body actually removes the ethyl ester once it is 'in' ?

Along that note, the CEE and creatine molecule itself, while similar, are still different in composition and, if in fact, the ethyl ester group is still attached to the creatine once it enters the molecule, also raises makes me wonder how effective it actually is since its not recognized by the body as 'creatine'.....more specifically the cell in which will utilize the creatine.

Just wondering if anyone knows about this issue.

The science behind CEE is very thin, to say the least.

You're not going to find anything specific. I would sugest researching how the ethyl is converted, not specific to creatine.

And to take it a step further, the science behind CEE doesn't even make really good sense. I used to really like it, but have recently found others to be much more effective.

I love orotine (tri-creatine orotate), that is by far my favorite.

I've been using Kre-Alkalyn for about 7 days now and it is still too soon to tell if it is actually working. The specific mechanism behind it is also too shaky at best, and a pretty damn bold claim to say the least (only 1.5-3g/day), but I figured it was worth entertaining...I guess I'll see later on.

The only effective creatine so far is pure monohydrate which causes me to bloat with water the entire time I use it. Right now I'm at about 14% (bulking) and it is pretty bad since I have more bodyfat vs. typical 9-10%. Hopefully Kre-Alkalyn pans out to be better, but it has not been anything close to monohydrate as of yet.

Side note: I also carried water while using CEE, not nearly to the degree of monohydrate, but I did hold alittle.

I wasn't saying I don't like CEE. It's the only creatine I use. CEE and BCAAs are the backbone of any supplementing I do.

Eh, I don't know. I'll finish off my Green Bulge once I finish my current Kre-Alkalyn, but I don't plan on purchasing CEE again. I don't actually feel increased strength compared to monohydrate, even giving the 'placebo effect' the benefit of the doubt..
