i think warrant is playing at danny bonaduce's party tonight at the key club in hollywood ;) (free event)

haha i think anything on the Wii takes the cake, then I could start another thread "games played drunk that caused the most damage to your personal property!"

Depends on what you consider rock. For me bands like metallica, ozzy, and megadeth are still around and kicking. Megadeth just released a new album, so has Ozzy and Metallica has one on the way. New bands like Godsmack, and Disturbed still carry the torch quit nicely.

I think its still alive, just not as healthy as it used to be. Hopefully a few good bands will make comebacks and get things rolling again.

I'd like to hear from Boston if they can replace Brad Delp. REO would be another. Van Halen if they can get thier collective "****" together.

Kieth Richards is still alive, so there is hope!!

I consider any band that was formed before 1990 out of the running, kick ass bands will continue to kick ass, but it is the new generation of music that I just cant get into. Maybe it is the mascara, but The White Stripes and The Strokes and all the other The's were the gateway drug that led to wuss rock bands like Taking Back Sunday etc (I can only name one because they all sound the same to me)

Rock isn't dead but it's not what it used to be. I'm a huge Metallica fan and I hope their new album resembles their stuff from Kill 'Em All to The Black Album. If they do then Rock will surge even more.

Good point, the funny thing is that a lot of really good bands out now are actually splits of older bands i.e. Velvet Revolver, Audioslave(Great band even though they just split), Stone Sour, heck even some of the boys from Filter have a new thing out all though I don't recall the band name. Seems like your referring to some of the bands that I would classify as sort of "punk" rock. Defenitly not my style, and yes they do seem to be popping up a little more often.

i think Sabbath is still more popular with a lot of the kids these days than any of the emo bands, true classics have strong followings regardless of age, i dont think there will ever be a generation that doesnt appreciate Zeppelin either

And if you find one that doesn't just put in "Immigrant Song" and start acting like Jack Black and that'll set'em straight.

my teenage years everyone was into rock, I was a punk, then in the 80's New Wave was everywhere, I was a punk, the 90's seen the close of big hair and the birth of bubble gum pop, I was a punk, then came the grunge wow, I was a punk,

Now I just like to "WATCH" Beyonce, Ciara, and Shakira Videos.

Which punk bands? I still like The Sex Pistols, Dead Kennedys and The Exploited....

Some punk rockers here...

I began with The Ramones, DK, Black Flag, Minor Threat, The Dickies, and The Descendents...then got into hardcore: Agnostic Front, Youth of Today, Gorilla Biscuits...
Then got into the poppier side: Green Day (1989-), Doughboys, Big Drill Car, The Hard-Ons...
