yeh our pitching is looking horrible....i think they should bring up phillip hughes and see how he does.....he cant be any worse than igawa !!

arod pitching great idea !!....except unno we couldnt use him in october !...arod is the first yeankee EVER to reach 5 home runs in the first 6 games......this puts him in company with ruth, mantle, etc.... i've never been a persistent boo'er of arod but hopefully this will put a sock in the others....i certainly dont want to see him leave after this year because of the bandwagon fans unno...

A-Rod has great numbers in the regular season but in post season he is awful...Look at the numbers and he has a long way to go before you put him in that company...David Ortiz on the other hand is the most clutch hitter in the game today

who knows ! it is very odd tho...i forget the number of errors he has but it seems like almost everyother game hes messin somthin up...maybe he's seein his spotlight get smaller as arod's gets bigger this year...i dunno....he'll striaghten out its real early still and he's consistently on point every year so i wouldnt expect anythin else when we look back at the end of the season...

A-rod was 0 for 4 up to that point in that game and Giambi had hit a homerun earlier. It made sense to pitch to Arod instead of loading the bases for Giambi based on the game up to that point in time. It just didn't work out. You really can't failry second guess that decision.

He has 10 home runs in April and batting 351 I know he was 0-4 but still you cant let him beat you in that situation after a week ago he hit a grand slam walkoff..

Sports need equity to remain competetive. Thats the beauty of the NFL salary cap. But the fact that you spend so much money and lose to teams like the Diamondbacks, Tigers, Marlins, Angels all the much sweeter. My only hope is that A-Rod can stay hot into and including the post season. That poor kid has done everything he can to earn those strippes and I believe he is finally getting comfortable in them. It's nice to see the kid doing well for himself and the team.

How about that third inning last night? It was like they replayed batting practice. I feel sorry for the drunks on Landsdowne street. They had like 4 balls come flying at them in a matter of 3 minutes.
The score was not indicative of the game. The redsox left too many guys stranded with their big bats when they had scoring opportunities. I think Manny and Ortiz actual were taking that AA kid pitching too lightly in the first and second inning, and they should have taken him to task much earlier, especially knowing the Ny bullpen was exhausted.

so how is it ok for Boston to do it and not ok for NY? the Yankees started out just like every other team and over the years they have made a name for them selfs. and along with winning games they won more and more fans. and with that will come more money. did money play a factor back in the 20`s 30`s and 40`s ? no. the Yankees make baseball a better game. weather you hate them or love them they are important to everyone in some way.
