i am flying back to Philly next week and i really want a good book to read. just to give you an idea of what i like, the last books that i`ve read and enjoyed were

Survivor-Chuck Palahniuk

Angels and Demons- Dan Brown

The Da Vinci Code- Dan Brown

and my all time fav book, The Catcher in the Rye.

If your a Dan Brown fan I would reccomend Deception Point read it I think this summer and really enjoyed it.

yeah i like his writing style. what the book about?

Decption Point is about a Presidential hopefuls daughter who works for a very high security US office in Washington and she is sent to the Artic to take a log (her job is recording things) of this huge monumental discovery that will change the world as we know it. But then her and this sceintist get involved with a Delta Force who is out to kill them for a specific reason. Dont want to give to much more away but it keeps in pace with his short chapters that keep you wanting more and more every time you end a chapter.

The twist and turns in Deception Point are very intriguing and make it a very interesting book.

thanks. im sold.

I would bring World War Z by Max Brooks. A collection of oral histories concerning the Zombie War. Good stuff.

I just gotta say that Survivor is a fvckin helluva book. The same guy who wrote Fight Club wrote Survivor.

The Things They Carried is another good book.

Anything by Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child (they write together). All of the books are great, fun reads. Nelson Demille is good, so is Jeffrey Deaver.

Grab some Aldous Huxley, anything is good by Aldous really. Doors to Perception/Heaven and Hell, The Island, Brave New World, all classics. Hux's writing style is a little erudite and less dynamic than other novelists, but still amazing.

If you've never read it 1984 is an amazing short read, and I think everybody on the planet should read that book at least once.

If you're into Hunter S., you should pick up Hells Angel's, that's a really good historical bio., book.

American Psycho by Ellis, psychological thriller much like the movie with biting cynicism and satire about 80's yuppie society

American Gods by Neil Gaiman is really good. You could also go with anything by Carl Sagan if interested in astrophysics/evolution.

im a sidney sheldon girl..... mystery/murder ....

michael crighton (sp?)i heard is awesome.... havent had a chance to test that though.... my program owns me....i have no time...
