That son of a ***** Bobby Delucci who punked my snack pack that one time!! He was a demon. My mind is alot clearer now. That satanic punk-biatch.
Perhaps your buddy just has a bit of tweaked DNA himself...in fact if you read the 'holographic universe' link on page 1, the things he can do could make sense. Theoretically, it would be possible to alter this physical realtiy with your consciousness.
There's a ton of explainations for spontaneous faith healing - from some wild quantum physics theory to the placebo effect.
Either way, I ask you to prove that its the Christian God that's actually the cause of action, and not one or a combination of the above.

To begin, don't put words in my mouth. Unlike you, I don't present my values as 'truth' or 'absolutes', far from it. I present them as my very subjective interpretations on the individuals, structures, values, and behavioural patterns I observe on a daily basis.
PC? If you call taking the basis for that comment from a blatant homosexual, who's work has led to the further decoherence of sexual identities, then yes, that is PC.
I am now considering pointing out the susceptibility to historical and cultural influence inherent within the bible [patriarchy, elitism, exclusionary ritual practices anyone?], but I feel that you will not acknowledge that.
If you want to debate the bible's legitimacy as literature, I'd be more than happy too. It has been, by far, the most influential book ever written. However, that does not make the religious epitaphs contained therein any more true than the Ryme of the Ancient Mariner, or Beowulf, or Dante's Inferno, or any other allegory for that matter. You have an issue in seperating the doctrine, from the literature, and debating on that basis.
It seems rather pointless to continue this argument. I'm not criticizing your faith, though you have an undertone of condemnation within your posts. Which, given the 'jesus loves all' attitude of Christianity is fairly ironic, though fitting given the church's histroy.
It's not christian God, it's just God. You don't have to go to church ever to believe in God. You can belong to any religion, God is God, He's always there for you and will always help you if you ask for it.
Well I got lost on the homo remark. Anyhoo, let me just say that my personal tone while typing this stuff was not condemning. I like this stuff. So I apologize if that's what you
read into it. The Bible for me or anyone who claims to be a Christian isn't a piece of literature such as Shakespeare etc.
It is the Word of God. It is alive and unchanging. It contains God's love, wisdom and His instructions for us. It is available to ALL of mankind free of charge. Some just simply refuse it. That's certainly your choice. Do I think less of you or anyone
else that chooses not to follow Christ. Of course not. But I do
believe what Jesus said when HE said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. NO ONE comes to the Father but by me."
(emphasis added) He said it. Not me. I'll take Him at His word
'cause He's never lied. But I see that this forum has taken the
proverbial dump so I guess I'm done. Later Dude:wave:
Ribo...if you caught your sister cheating on her husband, would you stone her to death?? I believe that's what the bibles says is to be done.
That was a pretty political answer.
I didn't, per se, ask you what you believe. I asked a "yes" or "no" question.
Would you stone your sister for adultry? Yes or no?
I don't really get your point here... I'm all about God, but I do what God tells me to do, not what Bible tells me to do. I don't dismiss Bible, but if I'm able to talk to God and get my answers directly from Him, why do I need to look for answers in Bible?Just a comment on your post to Dmitry,
"religion" can make you stupid. It seems to be "about" God but
"without" God. I study all of the Bible. It all goes together.
I did tell you where
to look to find exactly what I would do. When you find it, you can get back to me.

You think it's not possible, but how many examples are in the Bible, when God or Angels talked to people?
I go to church when I have time and many times they get very good points across and I like music there too. But Bible teaches you some general ideas, not what you should do in some particular situation.
"Hearing" from the Lord in regard to a given situation is fine. However, if we are talking about the same God,(who communicates with us by the Holy Spirit), He will never contradict His Word.(Bible) But I have a sense we aren't even close to being on the same wavelength here.

Now then, I hope that I don't offend GOD with this but I'm the kind of Christian that while I believe the bible was written by men and men are corrupt (able). Seems to reason that if some was inspired by GOD, a few things could've been snuck in there to promote someone else's agenda. But that's just me. Look at the LORD'S PRAYER, for example. There's the line that reads "...and lead us not into temptation..." When has GOD ever lead anyone into temptation? And if it is HIS will to do so, who are we to ask him not to? It just doesn't make sense unless you consider the fact that it was written by a man and men make mistakes.
