How Common Are Abcesses?

How common are abscesses when one is very careful about being clean? Using plenty of rubbing alcohol. Clean syringes. Yadda, yadda, yadda...

How many people have experienced these things? Hearing some really bad stories, it's the only thing that really concerns me anymore...

heh! This is one time that I'm not too worried about getting no replies.. However, I'd like this to stay near the top for awhile so that everybody can see it. It would actually be pretty cool if so few people got these things - that were was no discussion about it. :)

Never had one personally.

A few cycles back in my early twenties and on my third in the last 2.5 years. Last one was over three months of ed injects with suspension. Right now I am about 13 weeks into a 24 weeker.

even if you have the most sanitary procedure, it can still happen. You can also have a chemical abcess vs. the bacterial abcess you are probably referring to.

I've had 2 chemical abcesses.. both times in my delts, largely due to the volume of oil I was depositing there, and frequency doing so.... Oh, I've had three actually.. one time in my ventroglute, but I didn't know until I aspirated and white puss filled the barrel. :)

They are not common if one follows safe injection procedures with sterile products. However, they can happen as mentioned in this thread.

MMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm......

Just like a twinkie.

anywho who dabbles in this hobby, when they get their steroid "starter" kit (alcohol pads, needles, syringes jibba jabba) should also locate someone who sells a zpak, 3 pills in a row and it will wipe out any forming abcess.

what´s zpac?
I´ve heard for human medical-preparation injections it should be something like 1/20.000.000.000, if done correctly.

i thought once, that I had one I was working out my legs and suddenly I gfelt itchy hot and sweaty, like if I just had done my usual dbol-winny-test injection, although I didn´t for a month or so -so maybe a chemicla abscess.

zpac is antibiotics. Zithromax I think. Comes in a 5 pack. 1 pill a day for 5 days. Sometimes the Dr., willl prescribe 2 the first day, then 1 a day for the remainder.

ah, thanks, zitromax i know, great stuff, littel expensice though.Like Clindamycin -mild sides but effective.

Most of the house-born bacteria will respond well to the lesser expensive penicillines(amoxycyllin, doxy-, tetracyclin, etc.)

I see ALL KINDS of links online for ZPacs. I suppose this is the preferred antibiotic for abscesses..

Anyway. Since there are so many places with these things - with so many different potencies and quantities of pills - could somebody chime in on the best milligrams and doses?

I'd like to get myself a "just in case" kit...

Fo Sure.

When I was down in CR, I could pop into any farmy and pick up anything. I should have brought more back!!

Continuing on my preparation for the worst....

In the event of an abscess - and you cannot abstract any puss - what are antibiotics going to do?

Kill it altogether and whatever remains stays as scar tissue? Or since you could not abstract anything - there's basically no benefit to the antibiotic and you're going to have to fess-up to a doctor about what you've been doing.

I'm hoping that in a worst-case scenario that you have a deep abscess but you catch it early, an antibiotic will likely take care of business as long as you don't inject in the area anymore...

What do you think?

I dont know if it would work... but tell the doc it looks like an abcess. And you dont have a clue how it got there.

the most common problems for new "injectors", and this is ruling out dirty gear, is
a. dont follow proper sterilization techniques
b. you dont go deep enough into the tissue before you inject.

I think i might have one , i ve been shooting the deca on my left delt, and all of a sudden about 1 inch below the shot its gotten red and itchy but no pain or fever..

Watch it closely ready to jump on anti-biotics if necessary.

awesome! lol i guess im done with the deltoid, i was doing 1cc of deca on it, i switched to the Quads, and not a problem
