quick xtend question

Since they are just BCAAs and don't need the water to react with or to be transported with etc, the amount of water you use is basically up to you. Use enough to dissolve the BCAAs so that you can actually swallow the liquid and also as much as you want in order to obtain the desired taste.

The amount you use at that specific moment doesn't really matter that much if your water intake is adequate throughout the day.

Exactly. In the mornings I use as little as 6oz for 3 scoops, and for pre & peri workout, I use upwards of 20oz+ for 6 scoops to last me throughout my workout.

For 4 scoops, I use 20 oz of water. I drink half of it pre-workout and add another 10 oz and drink it throughout my workout.

Do something very similar. I will have a water bottle and a shaker with some BCAA's in it and I add some water to the shaker after I drink half of it then keep sipping through the workout.

I put 4 scoops in 16oz of water, drank 1/2 an hr b4 working out and the rest right after. I didn't notice anything working out :x
Maybe I'll try 6 scoops next time.

You might not "notice" anything while drinking the BCAAs. Drinking them during your workout will help avoid catabolism of your muscles. It may give you some extra energy, but you probably won't really notice anything major.

Dosing BCAAS before, during, and after working out is probably the best way to do it. Then also upon waking and right before bed. Then if you don't mind using your BCAAs that often, you can drink them throughout the day. But that usually isn't as important because your food sources should supply enough. If you're cutting on the other hand, well that's another story...in my mind, BCAAs are a must while cutting.

JJC, great advice again, thanks
I eat eggs in the morning and usually before bed :)
I'm just wondering if I really need 6 scoops at a time, it's gonna get $$$ fast <g>

I only do the 6 scoops for workouts. otherwise for morning time I only do 3 scoops which will supply you with 10.5g of BCAA's after a fasting state.
