Cancer... WTF?!?

What the F'n HELL is going on with cancer?! So many people I know have cancer! It's all young people.. All these people have parents who've never had it. What the hell are we breathing and/or eating that's causing us all to get cancer?

I spend $400.00 a week on stupid organic food (no msg, high fructose corn syrup, preservatives, etcetera) with the hope that MAYBE I can consume the same type of foods my parents used to.

I don't know what's going on but this is really getting on my nerves.. Does it bother anybody else?!

Yep..bothers me immensely.

There are LOTS of theories out there as to why cancer rates are going up.

The ones I give credence to are;

SUGAR..way too much of it. Insulin spikes are bad in terms of creating a pro-inflammatory state. It seems that every single food item the average American eats has either sugar, high-fructose corn syrup or white flour in it, on it, or hidden in it.

This pro-inflammatory effect also ties into rising rates of IBS, Chrohn's, ulcerative collitis, asthma/allergies and heart disease.

MINERAL DEFICIENCIES;

Soils in agricultural areas are becoming depleted of various key nutrients. Other aspects of our lifestyles add to this deficient state..lack of sun, too much sugar, etc. I feel the key deficencies in this country are folic acid, vitamin D, magnesium, selenium and iodine. There are zillions of others, but I feel if you cover those bases, you'll be going a long way towards reducing your cancer risk.

ANTIBIOTIC USE;

This one is a bit sketchy and lean on hard data, but here's what I have peiced together.

Long term antibiotic use..like for acne treatment when I was a teen..not only wipes out many of the 400 strains of beneficial bacteria in your gut but can also damage the gut's "intrinsic factor" which enables the gut to absorb nutrients like B12. A chronic, long term deficiency of b12 can, as I have found out first hand, lead to not only low energy levels but allergies and asthma.

B12 plays literally hundreds of roles in the body and one of the most important is modulation of the immune system. I practically grew up on antibiotics then developed severe, debilitating allergies years later. Never put the two together until I started supplementing with injectible B12.

Oral B12 never did a thing for me, but the injectible literally changed my life. Within a few weeks of using it, my allergies were gone..during the middle of Arizona's horrendous spring allergy season. I no longer needed anti-histamines for the first time in 15 years.

Take it as you will, but these have been my observations.

Weird, I only know people in the generation before me and them them that had/have cancer. In their case, it seems to be inherited down, sadly.

It's the pollutants that have become part of daily life. To be honest, your only escape from it is an escape from modern civilization. Most people can't accept this though, they rely too heavily on all that technology has provided for them. But there's a catch...

And look at me, utilizing to communicate one of the big sources of toxins that lead to cancer and other horrid diseases.

Got a story to share? I know I'd be interested in hearing what you went through.

Nothing big. A small tusslle with nut cancer. The worst part was going through radiation and having a couple of nurses stuff my sack into a lead ball before radiation treatment. in strictly medical terms it was called the "Iron Clam". When i went for my 'fitting' they were using a smaller one. The 'clam' was an iron sphere cut in 2 that had 2 nubbies on 2 ends. A small rectangle was cut out of a portion of it to fit around my nut-sack while this 20# lead ball clung to my 1 good nut.. The bungy chord you use to fasten a dead moose to the top of your car was stretched over the clam and attached to each nubbie on this instrument of torture. in 'theory' my good nut would be tucked safely away in a tomb of lead, shielding it from harmfull radiation. now picture this. 2 nurses and my doctor spent about 20 minutes stuffing my ball-bag into this contraption, pinching the side of my nut sack in the sphere of pain the first...I don't know....26 times they tried to clinch it shut. They were working up a sweat and my sack of love ceased being an important, extremely sensitive, part of the human anatomy and became some hostile creature that just insisted on defying the laws of space and time...so a-stuffin they kept and a-crying i did. My eyes were tearing and my sack actually went numb with pain. I finally said enough and told them to get the bigger one. Problem was they didn't have one and I had to wait another week for my radiation while they 'ordered' it.

I ended up getting the cadillac of clams and spent the next 4weeks in constant fear, because everyday at 5:30 i had to show up at my docs office. drop trow. hop up on a table and await the inevitable ball sack pinching that was awaiting me.

the nurse was OK-enough looking where it actually became enjoyable...sick huh. At one point during my last week i actually started to get a chubby when she was working it. She saw the 'movement' and turned red as a beet...so funny.

So thats my story...the cancer was the easy part!

I may just pretend to have nut cancer just to have my junk have some sense of being appreciated.

Interesting thread...

I live in Ohio and I know up around here Cancer is a giant problem. Everyone tries to move away thinking it will help. Maybe it will, this area is a high pollution area.

Anyone know where in the United States where cancer is a "lesser" problem?

I suppose if you can handle the pain, that's cool. Personally I was hopping around clutching the twins while reading that story. I commend him actually managing to sport a woody. I would have been in way too much agony to even think about that.

this is a short video on the subject of cancer as to its causes and treatments that I found to be an alternative to mainsteam opinions

Whoa. I just posted that same video in the Articles section a couple days ago. :D

Wow! feel the synergy? I know I do!

I got it from the Mercola.com website newsletter

out of all the con-theories this one is the scariest.

I do subscribe to the "Immune system theory" of better health, it just makes the most sense!!!

Also a cancer survivor. I grew up in a small town with little pollution, I've also ate like a health nut for basically my entire life. Who knows what caused it.

This may be a little wrong, but when I see this thread, I see the South Park where Russell Crowe decides to "fight" cancer. "Where's that p**** cancer?"
