Sincere question about internet jobs:

Hey guys,

I am at my parents house for a short while in the South. One of them is getting over an illness so I am helping out and eating for free. :)

Are there really any jobs a normal person can do over the internet? Everything I see is such a scam, I was wondering if there is truely anything I can do to be around for a little while and not have to dip into my savings?

at home medical transcription...i know a few ppl that do that from home.
 
My friend owns Private Investigation Company ( basically doing bunch of background checks). Everything done over internet or phone.

I haven't but I know it is possible with a lot of hard work and research. There are a bunch of books out on it....
