Carbing Up for competition with AP?

Would you guys still suggest taking it 15 minutes minutes before the meal for maximum effectiveness for a carb load before my first BB comp?

Have you used AP before? If not, I'd do a test run before using it on show day because some people get some bloat from it and you definitely do not want that on stage. But if either of you guys do end up using it for your shows, let us know how it goes. It would be great to have some feedback on using it in this situation.
 
wrestler119 do you stay hard while pumped? Or do you smooth over a bit not really a bloat but just a too pumped look?
 
After my workouts I look pretty hard. I am carb depleted and I still look full and hard after a workout. I take my AP 15 min. before my only carb meal, which contains 50-55 carbs.
 
I used to carb up with 300mg of R-ALA at each carb up meal but plan on having 1 AP with each carb up meal (up to 6 per day) this year. I will let you know how it goes but that won't happen until October. My wife will be doing this in June.
 
I had a competitor that I train take AP (it was yellow gold as testing was still going on) before she got on stage. 30 minutes prior to her judging I had her down a teaspoon. 15 mintues later she started on the red wine. Went on stage and looked great and won. Obviously the trainer is the shiznit:D but AP def helped sharpen those cuts and cram her muscle bellies.
