Clomid prevents testicular atrophy on cycle ?

Does Clomid prevent testicular atrophy on cycle ? I read a few people claiming it does
such as here

I know usually hcg is used for this purpose but I wonder if clomid works and if so how it manages to do this while on cycle. Wouldn't other SERM's do the same ? I've never heard anyone claim Nolva prevented atrophy
