Toad vs. USPlabs Anabolic Stack

As of late for good or bad, USPlabs have been getting a lot attention. Since tha beginning I've had numerous encounters with Jacob Geissler, many of which formed a very negative opinion. I have been in this game 6+ years now, working with MAN Sports and recently BSL/Xtreme Formulations for tha last two. One thing this industry has taught me is to never judge a book by it's cover. This simple idea had been instilled in me from a very early age, yet I'm amazed at how clearly it still rings true today. Most companies have skeletons in their closet. However, only a few ever see tha light of day. I feel most of tha company drama played out on tha boards is very selective, motivated by personal gain or 'social order' with those preying upon tha weak. One would hope Jacob has realized some of his common mistakes from tha past, viewing it as a learning experience and accepted to move forward in a positive direction. Recently, I've spent some time speaking with Jacob off tha boards in an attempt to finally give USPlabs a benefit of doubt and a honest chance for redemption in my eye.

This log/review is part of that process. Since almost tha beginning, I've been a fan of Cissus. Even after informing of 'White Cissus', I've still continued to use with much success. Curiousity got tha best of Toad and I took a gamble on trying Anabolic Pump which was purchased at N. Planet. I believed at worse I'd wouldn't be risking my health anymore than many do gambling on fly by night PH/AAS companies in for a quick buck sourcing out of China. Utilizing AP on carb-ups one day a week have yielded appreciable results. After spending some time talking with Jacob, he offered to send me some PowerFULL having never tried. This is tha only product I have not bought on my own. There is approx. one month until tha Arnold Classic. This month will be set aside to review tha combination of Anabolic Pump, Super Cissus, and PowerFULL while dieting down using a modified TKD/CKD approach. Stay tuned...

Ok, I've been cutting since after Thanksgiving with a few additional holiday setbacks.;) It's been a slow and steady progress, but I continue to remain on track. I'll be posting a few pics you get ya'll up to speed and to give a baseline presentation for this log/review. Here they are, approx one month apart... (EDIT: See future posts for final side by side comparison.)

Nice progress. What's your diet look like and will it be modified (more carbs) since you'll be using "AP"?

Nice progress. What's your diet look like and will it be modified (more carbs) since you'll be using "AP"?

My diet looks like crap... seriously. It's enough to make Bobo's ancestors roll over in their graves. Key part is though that it works for me. As I said it's basically a modified TKD/CKD. This is what has worked for me numerous times in tha past. My very first diet was a keto diet. I was tha self proclaimed Keto Master freshman year at school. Cardio is difficult, then again, I don't really challenge myself either. Eventually this will change. As well as me making more than 10 dollars an hour with my college degree. At which time perhaps I can employ Bobo and learn how to do it as a lifestyle as when I bulk, I generally let loose out of lazyness. I mean a diet is work, why would you want to eat boring bland food like oatmeal when you are actually allowing yourself to eat? It's just a different mindset I need to achieve...

I will say though, for whatever reason, I generally feel better on a keto diet after tha 2-3 week transition than your regular carb based diet. Partially this could be due tha difference between not eating very clean vs. consistantly maintaining stable insulin levels without tha present of carbs. Or maybe that's just what my genes prefer.

Without detailing my actual food intake, my diet mainly consists of four meals a day (Five, if you count my workout mix). I'm single, living in my father's basement who currently works a swing shift. I eat what's easily prepared. I won't blow smoke up your behinds here. At least 25, upwards of 50% of my daily intake (except days off/refeeds) on my cuts usually come from protein powder. In some crazy way I laugh to think I purchase 'groceries' from Customizer, lol. ;) ANYHOW... Other than powders, I throw eggs, chicken, and tuna into tha mix and eat salads/veggies as well as various nuts/seeds as if they are going out of style. If needed, healthy fats are also added to shakes on occasion. Basically, I'm very strict throughout tha week consuming around 1800 calories. During training, I consume a 20 oz Gatorade with BSL's BCAA+G, beta-Alanine, creatine OR 1/2 servings of BSL Cytofuse with additional BCAA. One day a week I'll carb-up, nearly doubling my calories. This is where Anabolic Pump should (and has so far) proved useful.

At this time, I won't be changing my plan. However after tha Arnold Classic, I may experiment a little, continue to 'diet' briefly and see how my body responds by adding more carbs with AP.

Chest/Tri workout this evening. It was painfully obvious strength is starting to dip. On tha plus side, endurance appears to be consistant and steady. I can tell I'm below my set point as hunger has been creeping in more so tha last few days. I naturally tend to hover between 15-18%. I've been testing a little below 12%. This pretty much kills libido for me unfortunately. It really doesn't bother me to be honest, but it ends up causing problems with my girlfriend. It'll be interesting to find out how/if PowerFULL will effect me in that department. I've tried SciVation's Fenotest before and I really saw no change despite lots of positive testimony. We'll see...

I couldn't sleep tha first night on PowerFULL. It appeared to keep me up. Last night wasn't too bad and once out, I slept like a rock. My girlfriend reported that I was talking in my sleep, which isn't all that unusual when I'm that far gone. :D It's late, and I'm tired. Tomorrow is legs, I need my rest. Toad will follow...

for some people 1-C needs a break-in period

Well, that Leg workout that was scheduled yesterday never happened as I delt with my car insurance company all day after totaling my car. I'm actually luck to be alive and corresponding with you today, no joke. Let's just say God is good as no one was injured. Unfortunately I'm also a little depressed and feel almost guilty that I walked so unscaved. Post-tramatic stress, survivor guilt or something. It's literally so surreal it almost seems like a dream. As bad as that situation was, everything happened so perfectly that today is just like any other day. I transferred my tags and I'm driving my old car again...

So anyhow, today was Legs. I had one of tha best workouts I had in a long time. Most likely this was due to me realizing my passion/ purpose and genuwinely being thankful to be alive. Life is amazing... despite my shortcomings, you'll never hear me b i t c h. Honestly, things could be FAR worse. :)

I hit up some Back & Bi's this morning... additional endurance appears to continue which is a nice unexpected surprise. I finished my normal routine 10 minutes early. This was a direct result of not feeling as fatigued and continues to show promise despite my lack of cals/carbs. Sleep continues to be good once finally out, but note I've been rather mentally exhausted over tha last two nights. Currently no joint or tendon problems to note, only a minor stiff neck and sore trap where my seatbelt caught me while hanging upside-down.

Tomorrow is my carb-up where I'll be using Anabolic Pump at full dose... So what's tha consensus on using in conjunction with Sesamin? I assume they will compete with each other to a degree, but not in a sense like insulin mimickers do.

glad your ok Bro ! That bites totaling your car, but im glad no one was hurt.

If no one has an opinion, I think I'll dose one cap with some fish oil 2+ hours after my 2nd dose of AP and again right before bed, well after my 3rd AP.

Sounds good! Great to still have you onboard, and I have fallen victim to appreciating life after a disaster which really should not be the case.

So I'm officially up to 4 caps of Super Cissus now. This will be good news for Jacob. A little FYI for those at home, I've had major issues with mega-dosing in tha past. I believed this to be a direct result of % ketosterones as when I tried using Symmetry previously I had same ugly results.:toilet: This was to a point that I would always have to discontinue use after a few days of chronic diarrhea. It was far worse than a moderately high dose of Forskolin. Super Cissus was no exception, I just had to start low and gradually work my way up. Believe it or not, I think probiotics have also helped in this regard as I've been using them more recently as well and it would make sense to attribute some of this success to a healthier GI tract.

Another quick installment in tha Toad vs. USPlabs Anabolic Stack Log...

I want to talk about my impressions with PowerFULL a little bit. Since using this product, I've experienced two things which I deem as noteworthy... Muscular Endurance and Deeper Sleep.

First, a bit on endurance. Endurance has always plagued me ever since I've started working out back in2000. Part of this is due to my own conditioning, tha other, to some degree is to my disposition. Now, it's been nothing too dramatic here but as I reported earlier, it would appear that PowerFULL has buffered my work load capacity to an extent. Tha other rational for this is greater carb storage/ utilization during my carb-ups with Anabolic Pump... Regardless, it's becoming more and more obvious something is working here to fatigue me less during my workouts despite consuming additional amounts of simple carbs. Tha greatest WOW factor comes from incorporating higher rep sets into tha mix (10-12+) where I mentally take note "Jordan, you gotta dig deep for this one", and can usually squeak out a few more without feeling beyond exerted which in turn, has cut tha length of some workouts. In a sense, by looking at progress this way, I would say I'm getting stronger. But as a whole, it's nothing to write home about. Everyday I usually rotate between 3 exercises and I mentally check myself before going in that I'll progress in at least one of those... 85% of tha time I accomplish this while cutting. Keto diets more or less maintain my strength very well as strange as it may sound. In my experience, Keto bulking may be my ultimate diet in terms of both strength and size. It is however, something I could never do long term and would be reason #324 why one day I'd like a run-through with Bobo's approach. So in quick summary, PowerFULL looks as though it's treating my iron game much like MAN's BodyOctane treats mosts cardio game.

Secondly, PowerFULL's effects on deeper sleep. I'm not sure if I mentioned this before, but when I first started taking PowerFULL (especially @ 2 caps) it would wire me a bit. Well, not so much anymore. This lasted about 3-4 days. I've had no immediate effects ever since. Occasionally I'll get a mid-day slump spell prior to eating but nothing I can't shake off. Working swing shifts can require my sleep to be sporatic. When I do sleep though, I find myself sleeping very well. Similar to, but not quite a pronounced as DS ActivaTe at 6+ caps a day (Normal ActivaTe protocol doesn't effect me much in terms of sleep). Due to tha similarities, and ironically I think Jacob may have touched upon on another board, these two products combined might produce some killer gains/enhance overall Alpha-Male well being. Overall, I'm finding little sedative effects unlike MGGC or ZMA... but once I'm out, it's smooth sailing. :)

Note: At current, I have yet to experience any change positively or negatively in terms of libido.

Good log unlikely toad! subscribed!

Super Cissus/AP is some good stuff! I'll be utlizing the new powerfull/surplus in my log pretty soon, but I'm going to start with Surplus first.

What kind of probiotics are you using? I just started Gut health last saturday!

Vitamin Shoppe Ultimate Probiotic 10

Kinda funny how these are only now starting to catch on as I've used them on and off for a good year or so for various GI disturbances.

...I'm not too familiar with SirPlus, but good luck.

Another update:

Yesterday was my Carb-Up and continued to use 3 caps of Anabolic Pump in divided doses roughly 5 hours apart. I also threw in 1 cap Sesamin (2 cap total for day) with 3 caps Fish Oil approx. 2-3 hours after meal as suggested. Due to tha presence of carbohydrate, PowerFULL dosage got a little twisted as I found less consistancy with having an empty stomach... my meals were rather large. In any event, I used 2 caps 3x a day. One thing I did notice while doing this was additional muscle volumization. Please note, Anabolic Pump most likely had a hand in this as well as I was re-introducing carbs, but effects seemed greater and appeared only temporary after dosing product. I will draw another parallel here to DS ActivaTe as I tend to see similar effect while dosing that product as well. Take it for what it's worth...

As a whole, using Anabolic Pump mainly in Carb-Up situations as I have, I've seen very little benefit outside using an ALA product. Two things I've noticed that I like is tha increase in vascularity as opposed to ALA and little additional bloat in my next day's appearance. Both of these are temporary cosmetic side effects that do not last. Whether or not AP is superior to ALA in these conditions is yet to be seen. I personally feel after a tedious depleting week of workouts my muscles are primed like a sponge regardless to soak up a major portion of carbs without any additional help, but alas my genetic make-up isn't perfect. ALA is a cheap effective way to finish tha job making sure my potential is maximized. I feel I know my body rather well to know that I'd have to push food consumption to tha limit on Carb-Up days to be that concerned about additional fat gain. Afterall, what I attempt to do is a modified Body Opus or Ultimate Diet 2.0 approach and big Carb-Up days are essential.

One thing I did like to see yesterday was my first true feeling of going Hypo while using Anabolic Pump. Because carbs have been so low, I could take AP without carb and not feel a thing. I've taken AP postworkout to mainly clear out tha rest (if any) spillover from my workout drink. Yesterday I started refeeding prior to my Chest/Shoulder/Tri workout which I also had my usual Gatorade, came home and popped another AP and then 'spruced-up' before taking my girl to dinner as we had reservations and was as usual running a bit late. We still didn't eat for about another 35mins and then it started to hit... eventhough that feeling sucks, it kind of made me happy as I was starting to think my experiences with AP were just placebo. All in all, I welcome using this product as I start to bulk in hopes of additional body composition effects as well as comparing AP to ALA in terms of fat gain within a storage scenerio.

... On another note, I'm about a week and a half out from tha Arnold Classic. I haven't weighed myself lately, but I continue to lean out. I'm quite pleased with my overall conditioning despite not doing any cardio. I'll try my hardest to get up a set of pics just prior to my departure... they may not go online until afterwards but I promise to take them. Tha AC would officially end my dieting for this go round. I plan to take 5+ days off while away and then start back up, but if there is enough interest, I may continue with this log upon return. Toad will continue to follow... :)

Just a suggestion, but lookin at how ap works it definatley would seem far more beneficial to use ap daily. one of the main points as stated in the write up is that Ap maintains the body in a state where nutrients work seletivley torwards muscle and away from fat on a constant 24/7 basis(that is what separates this produt from many others). This product has a half-life just like any other(id does appear to be fully long) after a peroid of time it will no longer exhibit the intended effects only taking this when increasing carb intake would greatly rob you of your results. as stopin in between days would put you right back where you started from a phisiologial stand point. their is an old addage of it doesn't matter if you do thinggs right one hour of the day if you are negleting the other 23(this is
not direted at you in any way just torwards the product). Im sure you know from experiene that lean musle is gained over periods of time and consistency not in a single workout meal or day. this product(at least theoretically and anedotally) puts your body where it needs to be for as long as you take it and allows you to do the rest. I would reomend a book for you titled "nutrient timing" it is written by great minds and has changed alot of my thinking.

You are very intelligent and have a sturdy grip on what you are doing.
I'm just giving you something to think about

Good luck at the arnold, by the way

Sounds like a decent stack. I recently got a bottle of Anabolic Pump... it's gotta be different from the Yellow Gold stuff I tried before. The AP does produce some pumps and hypoglycemia (when I don't eat) and does NOT give me the ****s like YG did.

I've never stacked Cissus with PowerFULL, but I have done Symmetry and P-FULL which was was a very productive stack back in the day.

Good log so far, Toad! :FUfinger: :p

I understand and appreciate tha conversation, but personally that's putting too much bank on a supplement IMHO. I know what works for my body in terms of getting diced and when you are focused and have a goal in mind, you just want to cross that finish line mentally and physically without many bumps in tha road. This is why I offered to continue my logging upon my return home from Ohio. I'll be more than willing to experiment a greater deal at that time. :)

perfectly understandable. your consistency is highly commendable and that alone puts you leages ahead of the competition

...Updates?

:stick:

Wow, tough crowd. Anyways, pictures were taken prior to tha Arnold Classic as promised, as well as upon my return once carbed- up. I'm at work today and pictures are at home, but I hope to post them very soon... I can however post my side by side by side comparison shots from my entire winter cut which can provide a bit of a preview.

Once tha other pics are finally up, I'll be giving my final thoughts.

Slightly different angle but it'll have to do...

I've yet to pull tha carb-up off my camera. I got to find it first. I think it's still with my girlfriend, lol.
