AP question

I am going to run an 8 week cycle of AP starting Monday. Is it OK to drink coffee in the morning while taking this??

I usually add a lil skim milk and 3 or 4 packets of splenda or equal to it. I hear these sweeteners can spike insulin similar to the way sugar does. Would this affect the AP in any way cuz i know not to take insulin mimickers with it.

Thanks

I thought that also, but did some research and found that the sweetners do not spike insulin...

I really dont think AP needs to be cycled.

Sweetners do not spike Insulin; Splenda may as well be an alternate food group for me.

Like I said I may be wrong, but havent their been articles on this very website stating the opposite, and I have also read that people who follow a ckd diet should avoid artificial sweeteners, but I do think it is based on the individual and type of sweetner.

I know there have been several controversies, pertaining to both fat storage and general health, surrounding Aspartame which have been shown to be unwarranted. In terms of Sucralose, I have seen no such claims. If you can provide studies/articles/citations stating otherwise I would definitely be interested, I just have not personally seen any.

I use equals most of the time. I just dont wanna do anything to affect the way it works bc i hear its such an awesome supplement.

I hate to come off arrogant devalidating another individual's opinion when I cannot say conclusively it is invalid, but I would be inclined to tell you not to worry. I use copius, and I mean, copius, amounts of Splenda with not an ill-effect, or counterproductive measure to be seen.

Yes, agreed. I took a nutrition course circa 1994 and their was speculation back then....Since that time the thought that artificial sweetners raise insulin has been disproven.

Yes it's perfectly fine as long as your not taking the AP and JUST drinking coffee.
