Hidradenitis

Anyone ever gotten Hidradenitis due to androgens? I know it can be androgen mediated. I’ve never had an issue with it and I’m 37 but I think I may have some popping up in an armpit. I’ve been on a little run of epiandro , 3 ad , and 11-kt along with my TRT. Currently at week 7 of 8.

2 days ago I got 3-4 small , flat , red, moderately painful nodules in one of my armpits. Was hoping it was folliculitis but don’t have a head/pustule and don’t itch.

Hopefully it’s cystic acne but don’t have any head/pustules and seem more painful and can’t get any drainage from them. Would think if it was acne then a head would already be forming that I could pop

Starting to get worried given that I know it’s a chronic condition and that if it’s hormone mediated may be a difficult issue to manage going forward while taking hormones

Started some doxycycline , washing with benzoyl peroxide .

Anyone else have similar experience or any ideas ?

Odd but applicable, do you shave armpits? poss ingrown hair or something like that. I used to get cysts in my armpit every now and then but haven't in years

No, I don’t . I would feel better about it being folliculitis if I did. Hence the worry

Little red arm pit bumps with no heads are clogged pores and super common amongst all people

More nodules, pea to dime size. Been hitting them with benzoyl peroxide and diclofenac gel for the inflammation. I’m about to finish up and hop back down to just trt and if they persist will go to derm.

Had the realization that if it is hidriadentitis I probably wouldn’t be able to definitively diagnose until they got worse which will be on the next cycle
