Yeah that is the truth. With how smooth 475 moves without any turbo tablets….. got my gears turning. Then next meet can focus on 500+, then 550, then….
Im honestly shocked how my strength has been while holding BW at 258-260. Right fuel matters.
Right, we’re only talking about 5% more load here - and if 475 was fast, you’re closer than that. If you add some orals and can’t hit it, take 2 weeks off the orals while you starting powerbulking up 5lbs by any means. Add orals back in for 2 more weeks and attempt again 4 weeks after first try. Done in 4 extra weeks & ready for a spring cut.

Yeeeeeeah buddy! Sprinkling in some A bombs starting today, going to ride out programming as prescribed and see if we can’t hit it with some SD after deload. I feel confident.

Dropped NPP, added 70mg ment/week and upped test iso another 105mg. Going to experiment with 10mg tadalafil for duration of blast as well considering the compounds.

Had my first solid turd today since Monday! It’s been absolute hell gents, stomach bug had me shooting a fire hydrant out my ass nonstop the past few days. Lost tons of sleep, lost 9 lbs and almost lost my mind. Worst possible timing and it really pissed me off. Went in today for a shaky deload session that was postponed from Tuesday. Hopefully I can refill the void and refuel to a proper fighting weight before my heavy single. Tons of fury in me I’ll tell you that much though.

Hopefully you’ll be able to regain that strength quickly. There’s some potent stomach viruses going around. My son, his wife, and his two older boys have had it the last three days. He said the baby is the only one not sick. I told him that breast milk has him protected. He said maybe he should see if the baby would share. I said yep you have my since of humor.

Man you’re right, you really do have PTSD after a stomach virus. Gym nightmare, you squeeze a fart out and then realize you just Sharted. 😂
Just don’t let one rip with 500 lbs on your chest, because there would probably be some substance in that one. 😂

Take your time getting back to it if you need; I mean really listen to your body. It will tell you if it’s recovered, if nutrients are taking and body is filled out & ready or not.

Gonna keep pushing food/hydration and decide when I’m feeling back, full and ready. I had a plan till I got punched in the fuggin face lol

Don’t sweat it; you can feel it out when you’re ready. You might be surprised. Or things may just not go that way and eventually you have to pull the plug for now, and that’s okay too. The #1 goal is always to not get injured. Then you can keep training.

I know it’s not your stretch goal, but congratulations on the PR benchpress! 220kg/485lbs is a huge raw bench milestone; that is the fabled 5 plate bench everywhere else in the world besides North America that uses 20kg bars & plates 💪
 
Congrats on the 485 PR…..still super impressive. And knowing that you were just recently sick with a stomach virus, which drains you and takes a little time to fully recover, makes 485 that much more impressive. So with that you know you would have at least had a little more in you if you hadn’t gotten sick, leads me to believe you would have had that half rep to lock out the 500.5…Awesome work brother.💪😎👍
 
When it rains it pours. Got some nasty gunk (same as everyone right now) running through our household. It’ll be nice to finally be able to breathe/sleep/eat proper again. Planning to start my rebuild this week. It will be hell and misery lol

My son has been blowing yellow snot for some days now; I’m just crossing my fingers that glutathione and a bit of luck gets me through 😅
 
Well, where to start? I’ve almost kicked this gain of function virus, pretty well leveled me, saw 246 on scale the other day.
So one month ago I put a baby in the wife (peaking on tren and trest mind you). That was pretty wild and I was excited about it. Earlier this week miscarried. Was it due to gain of function flu? Geriatric pregnancy? Anabolics? Who knows. That put a damper on life though.
Went in to “kick off” my training block today, could not even manage a single set of 6 @ 315 and I was programmed 8x6. Got stapled on the second “set” (I was just going to knock out 48 reps total to get by) but got pinned at 2 reps. Got 6 reps total of my 48. Just fahking left at that point. Spiraling into a deep depression now and trying not to just grab a bottle and drink it away like the rest of America. This sucks all around and I am at a loss as far as training. Never had a session that shameful and worthless in my life that I can recall. Yeah I dunno $hit anymore.
 
Sorry to hear all of this brother. Try to keep your head up. Depression is certainly real, and after what you and your wife just experienced you might just need the time to get your mind right. And the double whammy is the physical need for recovery coming off illness.

Don't do anything rash. I know it's easy to slip into bad habits, but that will only compound both the depression and worse gym performance.
 
Very sorry to hear that man. Definitely take care and I’m just saying this out loud because I know you already know it but be there for your wife also she will need you more then ever.

As far as the bad session, you are in recovery from the flu and probably wiped out and then stress of life on top of it. You know how strong you are and it jus didn’t disappear in a few weeks.

So sorry to hear all that brother….especially about the miscarriage. My wife and I had a few miscarriages after our third son. It’s never easy, but we’ve got your back and you’re in our prayers. Stay strong….DM if you need to get anything off your chest.🙏
 
I'm really sorry to hear that bro. I don't care what anyone says or how long the pregnancy lasts, miscarriages hit really hard and are the loss of a child and I really really feel for you and 100% respect the pain you guys must be going through. I hope you guys can lean on each other and I hope that in some way you can find a way to let this bring you guys closer through the shared pain. It seems like one of those scenarios that we tend to bottle it up and isolate even though both husband and wife are feeling the same misery and its just so hard to share. I'm heart broken for you dude.

Spiraling into a deep depression now and trying not to just grab a bottle and drink it away like the rest of America. This sucks all around and I am at a loss as far as training. Never had a session that shameful and worthless in my life that I can recall. Yeah I dunno $hit anymore.

You will pull through. You will find it. You just need to reset a bit. give yourself grace! Then go stand in front of the mirror and repeat after me!

 
@SkRaw85 I’m really sorry to hear about your miscarriage; my condolences to you & your bride. Despite feeling lost, remember that you don’t need to feel grounded to be there for her - just hold her tight as hell & don’t let go. You will survive the storm much easier if you hang on together, even when the waters get violent & deep. Sending love, bro ❤️

As for your training: you came off a peaking block, which means a natural performance drop off after. You came off blast, another huge drop off in neurology. AND you got sick for WEEKS, undereating and not training, losing further leverage but especially both GPP & SPP. I don’t know what you expected, but you are going to suck for a few weeks while you get back on the horse. AND THAT’S NORMAL!

You need to get your ass back in the gym and run the program with whatever weights you are ready for day 1. Even if it’s 225 for 8x6. This will relight your motor patterns, rebuild endurance, and tell your muscles it’s time to get back to business so start soaking up nutrients again. Even mobility will improve once the tightness fades in 3-5 days. Before you know it, you will be piling weight back on that bar to ramp it back up some.

Got real close but I did not climb in to a whiskey bottle, glad I didn’t I know how that ends. Popped 400 mg of the edibles that night and felt absolutely nothing, that was a sign. Mind and body were under extreme duress, that was a realization that no drug was going to do anything. Haven’t used thc since then (I was a daily user). Not saying I wont ever again or have anything against it, I just want to raw dog life for a while.

My time has been consumed by work and family recently just to keep everything aligned and focused on the future. So much change in an abrupt timeframe mindfukked me for a minute there but I’m not giving in.

I believe this virus has finally been kicked, hit a body weight low of 238 on scale yesterday lol, should have signed up for a NPC show with this sick, jacked physique lol (pun intended). Joint ache has subsided and appetite returning.

Ill be reassessing training and diet, diving in to Vertical Diet by Stan and implementing that in to my daily life.

So glad to hear you’re doing better brother, and glad you have been able to deal with it in a healthy way. Getting back in the gym will do you a world of good, and I bet the slimmed down 238lbs version of you does look jacked.💪😎👍
