Weights up, scales down…

Consider minibands before you get Monsterminis. Monsters are too strong for things like mobility/warming up, so they’re mainly for loading movements.

Their red minibands are the single best size to get if you only get one pair.

Good info so then I think I’ll do 2 each of these.

Was -2 with a -21 windchill when I took my son into school today, and my nose hairs were freezing up walking back to my car after 😂 Otherwise felt like every other morning this week, but once its subzero there are definitely little changes. Car took an extra crank to start this morning, for example.

@Hyde @Smont

Got a question about TB 500. Is there a chance it can help with nerve impingement? A little research shows it could possibly but figured I’d see if you guys had any experience on that front or not.

I have no experience using it for that pourpose, but bpc and TB both can help with nerve issues. I've read about it repairing damaged nerves and creating new blood vessels and stuff like that. Now, Specifically with a pinched nerve, any reduction in inflammation would help and if the nerve was damaged, TB would help repair it. At least on paper it does. I can't say personally

That’s what I’m seeing on paper as well. I got one in my lower shoulder like down by the shoulder blade area that acts up on occasion that radiates down the arm and super annoying.

Nice work on those deads!

Weekend I just did arms.

Yesterday turned into a day of stuff I didn’t want to do. Noticed Saturday that something was going wrong with the rear end differential on my truck as there was oil everywhere. So pulled it into the garage Sunday. Found the rear seal in passenger side was ripped on the rubber seal.

So heated up the garage and tore it apart. It would be a simple job if it was a Dana 44 axle setup. But these style half tone rear ens you have to drain the whole pumpkin to remove the pin and C clip to pull the axle.

Also annoying because I replaced both of these this summer. So not sure if I damaged it during install, or just this wicked cold and my luck 😂

Either way got it fixed and back together.

Skipped treadmill this morning as I had a wicked headache and was not feeling it.

Hydrate if you aren’t sure you have been; it’s easier not to notice when it’s cold out until the fatigue and headache hit.

omg dude that is a nasty job. when I had my old silverado I drove it like I stole it and I remember ripping the rubber loose one day pulling out of the office and I feel BANG like I had just drove through a 12" pothole. I got the truck home and noticed it was locking up everytime I turned on direction. we got it backed up in the garage and the pumpkin was filled with the most beautiful silver lubricant you've ever seen. that **** had ground down the gears into liquid lol. $$$ I put a new transmission and rear end in that truck over the 200k that i owned it, but man I loved it. I'm looking for one now to make as a farm truck (99-02 bodystyle)

Yeah it’s a pain but I guess not horrible. When I look at the prices of new/used I just keep going back to the old yep I’ll just wrench and keep it running 😂

you're not wrong man. unpopular opinion: but I actually think keeping it running is probably better for the environment too rather than replacing every year like some people like to do constantly churning out new cars. I typically get about 200k out of mine before the maintenance and repairs start to get right on that line of whether the new car is financially cheaper than fixing up the old one. (usually its a gas mileage difference since I drive a lot)

That could be. I look at it more as vehicles make me no money whatsoever so financially it’s cheaper that it’s paid off and just keep it together 😂

Also I can work on this one and know how to do most anything if I need to. These new ones I’m not sure you can even work on other then maybe basic service.

you're not wrong man. my buddy was telling me his turn signals are like $2600 to replace if one ever goes bad. when I was building hotrods and lowriders I learned that I could probably figure out how to fix anything on my truck better than I trusted a mechanic to do. although there is the time/money challenge too and I drive a lot more now days so its like a balancing act between what you can 'afford' to do yourself vs what you almost have to pay someone else to fix because its cheaper than leaving your car on blocks for 2 months till you can get to it, lol.

Oh for sure just for curiosity I called the place I get tires from and asked what the ballpark cost to change a rear axle seal was and of course they are like well depends if the bearing needs changed, brakes yadda yadda but just the seal and oil and labor it was 400 for just one side.

Out of pocket yesterday seal, 19.99 / oil 1 gallon 35 bucks/ black rtv gasket maker 12 bucks. Total = $67

Granted I have all the tools and everything so there’s that consideration, from start until pull out of garage was 4 hours (including trip to parts store)

thats pretty good man, you paid yourself more than $100/hr there. funny thing is that $400 price seems sorta reasonable too, I feel like it was a lot more than that when I quoted it out years ago for my silverado. but then I had parts too since my rear end was soup lol

Ab cramps got me something fierce after last set.

Big glass of pickle juice and all good.

Working the percentages and reps I can tell are paying off. Bracing is solid reps are good, definitely building more rounded strength and core!

Nice, I don't think I'd personally every go above 95# on a good morning given my back issues historically, so those are solid numbers for sure. Just keep ensuring you do good core warm ups!

Yeah I was shocked the first time I did them i think 65 was what I could handle. I also go by feel some days since they are more towards the end if I’m getting depleted I’ll drop weight or reps as I just don’t have it.

Been keeping the GM, front squat, sit-ups in for this 10 weeks I think has really made a huge difference for me.

I put my knee sleeves on under a pair of sweatpants cus I always feel stupid wearing them, I don't mind the elbow sleeves on a push day because once I get pumped up the elbow sleeves almost like a little tourniquet and it makes my whole upper body look bigger and more pumped up lol. If it wasn't counterproductive I'd probably wear my elbow sleeves on pull day 😂

Yeah pro tip for AK, take your sleeves off for rowing & hamstring work unless something hurts enough to warrant it, because it’s going to trap a lot of blood in the biceps and hamstrings during those.

Commercial gym

Just had an arm day emphasizing dips. Place was packed quite odd normally it’s not.

Also did floor press

Oh and to follow up on the allmax iso I like the profile and how good it mixes. Orange creamsicle flavor though… not great, will just get chocolate next time or cookies and cream

Curious has anyone tried marshmallows as a quick pre workout carb or during workout? Profile breakdown looks similar to like the hairboo gummy bears

IMG_4718.webp

I'm not sure I'd want to risk overdoing marshmallows and end up hating the flavor later lol. I have a few recipes in mind I want to do that are marshmallow based and I think having them once a year on smores or maybe twice a year on those thanksgiving candied yams is about my max as it is haha.

If you pin tb or bpc, I am revoking your natty card sir!

I'm becoming more convinced that most the avg guys who are truly natty are only truly natty cause they don't how to not be. Or they're just too lazy to nxt lvl ( I mean this in regards to the dudes always yelling STEROIDS! in comments sections, lol)

25 minutes of jogging this morning.

Also my reason I’m running alpha gel is I sleep so freaking good on this and waking up energized and refreshed.
