Howdy brothers and sisters in Iron!
The stellar rep for Mutant, cheftepesh1, was kind enough to hook me up with some samples to honestly review. Happy to give MindFk a go, as I've been wanting to try Paraxanthine for some time, heard its similar to Dynamine and I loves me some Dynamine! Caffeine honestly gives me areal quick hit, then puts me in a lull after about 20 minutes, been that way forever, I'm the 1%. So that, in a nutshell is why I'm amped to give this a whirl, plus the nootropic aspect of it has me stoked. Was never a huge fan of the super stim pre-workouts, always seemed counter-intuitive to me, loved the noot ones waaaay more. I'll be happy to answer any questions you all may have, send 'em my way and I'll answer them as best I can. Suggestions are super cool too! More than likely, I will start with the peach flavor this Saturday. I want to try this on an off day from work in case it fires me up too much for bed, I doubt it but been down that road before. For my last packet, I'm gonna walk on the wild side and either combine it with Madness or Geaar, more than likely madness to see how paraxanthine and caffeine compares to the combo of dynamine and caffeine. Will get the ingredient profile of everything up as well tomorrow. Cheers!

Folks, this preworkout just hits hella different, and I don't think hit is being even remotely fair. Don't feel I can do it justice with an initial review, instead, I'm going to be covering it in stages due to wanting to be as thorough as possible while dealing with a limited timeframe here. I will have my first bit posted a bit later today, stay tuned!

I like to use it when I'm working in the garden, or playing poker lol. It's definitely different 😂.

It's a unique pre, that's for sure. Initial thoughts are soon. The best I can equate it to is like already being up and doing stuff, versus slamming the usual pre-workout and getting smacked awake upside the head with little to no focus. I don't have space for a garden or I would, but poker, well, there's always space for that somewhere else other than at my place lol. It even occasionally helps pay for spur of the moment peptide purchases!

Folks, this preworkout just hits hella different. I’d equate it to already having been up and at ‘em for a bit, with a to do list in hand. It comes on slow with the energy but quick with the focus, and they combine in a great synergy. Don't feel I can do it justice with an initial review, instead, I'm going to be covering it in stages due to wanting to be as thorough as possible while dealing with a limited timeframe here. With that being said. Here. We. Go!!

My Goal

My goal was to find a preworkout that wasn’t super stim heavy while giving a solid amount of prolonged focus and endurance in the gym. My workouts are after work and usually intense, so I need something in a preworkout that matches that, yet still lets me crash for bed within several hours. Caffeine is OKAY for me, but wears off real quick and has never given me the hit that everyone raves about, although coffee is better for this but the end results are similar. I love Dynamine and wanted to see how close or better Paraxathine was, as I’ve read it’s great for people in my situation with being a caffeine non-responder and not overly stimulating.

Label: I like it! Looks to show what this preworkout is designed around, more than just words for once. Like the pop it sets off and colors. Love the whole 3rd eye thing, matches the nootropic theme for those in the know.

Texture/ Appearance/ Smell: Only packets to assess, but looks like a preworkout powder so it must be a prewokrout powder, right? Seemed really fine to me, finer powder than other recent preworkout I’ve used and been using. Granted, this doesn’t not have glycerol in, so that will certainly help in that department. Light orangish color and smells a bit like peach as well, though not a sour peach. Mixed up really well, old school style with a spoon, 1 quick stir. 1st pic is after a quick stir with the spoon, 2nd pic is a little over 3 mins after, still well mixed and really no sediment. This should really help it get absorbed quicker and more efficiently.

Flavor: Very mild peach flavor, tad bit tart but very refreshing. Not even remotely overpowering/ super artificial tasting, solid job here! Taste actually stays the same even after it has sat for 3 mins, that's impressive!

  • Tropical Punch: This is a very subtle take on a classic. It’s not overly sweet and there’s no single, overpowering flavor note trying to be the hero. Because it’s so mild, it would be ridiculously easy to blend with other supplements without creating a disaster. I’m perfectly fine with this—it goes down clean and doesn't leave behind that weird chemical ghost.
  • Blue Raspberry: Here we have a welcome departure from the traditionally obnoxious, "in-your-face" blue raspberry flavor that stains your soul. This version is whisper smooth and dialed back, delivering the taste you want without the sugary assault. Just like its tropical counterpart, it disappears cleanly after the sip.
  • Final Sip: All told, the flavors are pleasant and highly chuggable. They nailed the "less is more" approach, making them easy to drink with zero nasty aftertaste to complain about. A solid job.

Dosing: Got up and Washed it down about 15 minutes prior to go time, noticed a tingle/ sour taste like peach while drinking it, no nasty aftertaste, hooray! Did notice any tingles, despite the clinical dose 3.2 grams of beta alanine. I’d equate to a sour patch kid if they made a sour peach flavor, but very mild, and certainly helps wake you up a bit while being oddly refreshing.

Initial impressions: Sour Peach

Love the fully disclosed ingredients, nice to actually know what I’m getting and not some proprietary bs blend, leaving me to guess if I’m actually getting efficacious amounts of what I’m buying and if I will get the results based on dosage, or just be lighter in the wallet.

Mutant claims this is a nootropic based preworkout, and looking at the label, I’d be hard pressed to disagree with them. Let’s take a deeper dive into the nootropic aspect of it, shall we?

Vitacholine - is a branded form of choline bitartrate, a highly bioavailable nutrient included in pre-workout supplements to boost cognitive function, mental focus, and the mind-muscle connection. It supports the production of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter crucial for concentration, memory, and muscle control, helping athletes enhance performance and mental clarity during intense training without the jitters or crash. With the mimimum dose being around 435 mgs, this more than covers the bases here.

Alpha GPC 50% - It is taken as a supplement for cognitive enhancement/prevention of cognitive decline and for increased power output in athletic performance. Aids in dopamine inceases in the brain as well. Doses are in the 300mgs-600mgs ranges. Basleine here, but pairs well synergitically with the other ingredients, so that could help account for it’s baseline dosage.

Huperzia Serrata Extract - Huperzia serrata extract, specifically huperzine A, is a plant-derived supplement used to promote cognitive function, improve memory, and support brain health. It works by inhibiting acetylcholinesterase, a substance that breaks down the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, thus increasing acetylcholine levels in the brain, which is vital for memory. Dosages range from .02 mgs to .06 mgs, so this is dosed on the higher side here.

Paraxanthine - Enhanced Energy and FocusasParaxanthine acts as a central nervous system stimulant, improving alertness and combating fatigue. Users often report a more sustained energy boost without the jitteriness associated with caffeine.Studies suggest that paraxanthine can enhance cognitive functions such as memory, reasoning, and reaction time. It modulates adenosine receptors in the brain, which play a crucial role in regulating sleep and energy levels. Dosage ranges from 100-300mgs, so we’ve got the higher end of dosing here!

That’s it for now, more to come Monday. Yes, I said Monday! I had initially wanted to run this as a trial only on weekends, in case it was too potent-stim wise, noot wise or crash happy, but happy to report it isn’t and I’m going to integrate it into my weekday workouts!

That's good to hear. A lot of pres now a days and super stim heavy. I like a pre that's not over the top and just a mild smooth energy with no crash. Sounds like this one is that!

It's a great pre for me, in that it really gets me zoned in without me noticing, if that makes sense. It's not a kick upside the head, it's more like a to do list lol. For me, the crash is non-existent, I'm just able to go on about my day with a sense of accomplishment. I honestly had to check the time when I used it this Saturday, as it felt like it was later than it was, this stuff just picks you up so smoothly and sets you down the same. Lots of pre's I use, I'm able to judge the timeframe by my energy level and sometimes mood, and if I'm going to need a nap after, or cup of coffee to keep going. I'd love to see this with some low dose stims, thinking this would be killer with some Dynamine.

What's up, everyone! Full disclosure, I was chasing the nootropic dragon on this one, not necessarily looking for something to make me want to dig a ditch around the world. The energy was just a bonus. Let's get into it.

My workouts: For this log, I’ll be doing 10x10’s for opposing muscle groups, chest/ back would be an example. I’ll see how I’m feeling, if I’m connecting with the movement enough or if I need to switch out movements. If I switch out, it most likely will be on the 5th set where I will drop set it and move onto another exercise for that body part to get the stimulus I want/ need. I will then complete 10 sets on that body part, adjusting for the shortened set and heavy workload of the 5th set being a drop set to failure. So I’ll be getting in at least 20 sets from my primary groups, I throw in quite a few trap exercises, forearms and stretches on top as I see fit. I aim for each body part 2x per week, sometimes adding in another time if I’m feeling it ( Traps, I’m looking at you here). Intra rest is only how long it takes me to move from set to set, or interrupting with the shrugs. I’m back to eating at maintenance to keep my gains from my last run.

⚡ Energy: (Rating: 8/10) – Separate rating for nootropic aspect incoming

  • The Onset: Forget about that "kick you in the teeth" jolt. This is a different beast entirely. I dosed it about 15-20 minutes before my drive to the gym, and by the time I was pulling into the parking lot, my brain was already firing on all cylinders. It’s a slow, steady, and smooth build-up. The best way to describe it? Your brain starts going well above the posted speed limit, but in a super chill, motivated, and focused way. It’s like your mind wakes up first and tells your body it’s time to go to work.
  • The Vibe (Type of Energy): This is where this stuff absolutely shines. The energy comes on so smoothly that it feels like you're just waking up from the best, most restorative sleep of your life. You’re mentally energized, clear, and ready to take on the world. There is absolutely zero cracked-out, over-stimmed feeling. For me, this was sneaky good. It didn't feel like a supplement; it felt like I'd found a second wind. In the gym, it translated to pure, tunnel-vision focus. I was way less chatty and just dialed in on every single rep. Once the workout was done, that clean focus, good mood, and alertness just lingered.
  • The Duration: I was getting a solid 2-3 hours out of this. Your mileage may vary, but I noticed when I took it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, it was closer to the 2-hour mark. After work, having eaten a couple of hours before, it easily pushed toward 3 hours. This is one of those pre-workouts I could probably take a few hours before bed and still sleep like a baby.
  • The Landing (The "Crash"): What crash? It’s completely non-existent. There's no sudden drop-off, no wanting to dig a ditch around the world. The comedown is just a gentle, gradual fade. You'll notice your focus and drive slip down a few pegs long before your energy does. It's as smooth on the way down as it is on the way up.
  • The Verdict: After two doses, I can say this stuff completely hits the nail on the head for what it’s trying to do. If you're looking for a pre-workout where the focus and drive are stupendous and the energy is a clean, smooth-burning fuel source, this is it. It’s not going to give you crazy energy, but it empowers and unlocks that elite mindset you need to crush your workout. Loved it!
That wraps it up Folks for the energy part, I’ll be diving into the Focus, Pump and Performance factors here throughout this week and the next, with my final verdict and value breakdown. Any questions, please ask and thanks for tuning in!

That’s an amazing review.

Alright everyone, I'm back with the part you've been waiting for: the deep dive into the nootropic effects. The energy was solid, but this is where MindFk truly plants its flag.

🧠 The Focus Effect: 9/10

Let me be clear: this is about as good as you can get while staying completely legal. There are no gray areas here, just pure, dialed-in clarity. It comes on smoothly, especially on an empty stomach, fully zoned in within 20 minutes. My brain immediately switched into what I can only describe as "To-Do List" mode. Every task, every movement becomes systematic and purposeful. The only "issue" I could possibly see is getting used to this level of clean focus. The effect is potent and lasts a solid 2-3 hours for me.

The Mind-Muscle Connection

This is where the magic happens. Because you're so intensely focused, it cranks up the volume on your mind-muscle connection. Every rep feels more intentional, more results-driven. You're not just moving weight; you're actively engaging the target muscle from start to finish.

I decided to put this to the test on some exercises I’ve never really "connected" with, like the ones that work for everyone else but just feel off or simply don't feel at all for me. This stuff forced me to be more systematic, and deliberate, fine-tuning my grip, angle, position and load. Guess what? I actually figured out a few movements I had previously written off. It helped me turn a couple of zeros into heros. I'd call that a massive win.

Tunnel Vision & Distraction Blocking

What distractions? Seriously, were there other people in the gym? When you're on this, you're in your own world. I'd strongly suggest you either:

A. Talk to your gym buddies beforehand so they don’t think you're deliberately ignoring them (because, let's be honest, you are), or
B. Warn them that if they ask you a question, the answer will be an Einstein-level deep dive down a technical rabbit hole.

Your brain is just moving at warp speed. But here's the cool part: while you have tunnel vision on your workout, your overall mental alertness is so high that you're still keenly aware of your surroundings. It's the best of both worlds.

Motivation & Alertness

The mental motivation is waaaaay solid. You want to train, you want to execute perfectly. However, this is the one area I'd offer a small critique. It felt like my brain was going 100mph, but my body was cruising at 70mph. My body was lagging just a bit behind my mind's ambition.

Personally, I would like a little more "Alertness" in the form of a physical "kick" from a different stim source to bridge that gap. Not a lot, just something mild to get the rest of me going at the same speed as my brain. That's a trial for another day. As for the mental and motivational drive? It's phenomenal. Just my .02.

Planning to cover the "Pump" aspect tomorrow.

I usually only get a small amount of effect from nootropics. This on the other hand hits harder.

MindFK Review Part 3: The Pump You Didn't Know You Needed

Here to let MindFK pump you all up, without further ado, part 3:

💪 The Pump: Quality Over Quantity (My Rating: 8.5/10)

Okay, before everyone grabs their pitchforks or their wallets, let's talk about the pump. This is a different animal, and I need to be crystal clear about my rating.

  • For the traditional "pump chaser": 6/10
  • For me, personally: a solid 8.5/10
Why the split? Most pump products I've used make you look like someone stuck an air hose in your bicep and hit "inflate." It's that big, undefined, "bloaty" look. MindFK is the polar opposite. This is a DEFINED pump. We're talking roadmap veins, solid muscle bellies, and a hard, dense look. It really makes everything pop, especially if you're leaner (I am on my arms at least lol).

Some guys might be disappointed it doesn't add 20lbs to their gym selfie, which is why I gave it a 6 for them. But for me? This is ideal. I've never been a huge pump chaser because, honestly, sometimes it just gets in the way of the actual workout. I've had workouts where I get so pumped from a warmup that it's difficult to finish the session.

Quick Pro-Tip: I noticed my intra-workout, which competes for some of the same pathways, was limiting the pump. On a day I trained without it, the pump was way more pronounced. Keep your supplement stacks in mind!

The Feel: Dense & Defined

If you had to describe the intensity, it’s a dense, intracellular pump, well below the surface. There’s no real surface-level bloat. Your muscles just feel solid, look slightly bigger, and have significantly more definition. I was perfectly happy with it.
This pump from MindFK will have you looking like:

A. An anatomy chart that just did a heavy set of curls.
B. You were attacked by a swarm of very localized, very angry bees.

If you chose A, this is the pre-workout for you.

The Longevity

No complaints here. The pump showed up for work and stayed for my entire session, which is usually about an hour. It started to clock out about 15 minutes after my last set and was pretty much gone within another 30 minutes. It does its job and then gracefully exits without overstaying its welcome.

Final Notes

Bottom line: Don't get me wrong, there’s a pump here, it's just different from the skin-splitting ones most people are used to. This could be a game-changer for lifters focused more on strength and performance, since the pump won't be a limiting factor in your range of motion. If you appreciate definition over sheer size and hate feeling and looking bloaty during your workout, you're going to love this.

Hada last minute charity event pop on my radar, so unfortunately, no workout or update tonight. Can count on my one hand the workouts I've missed over the last 5 years, but was totally worth it to benefit some kids. Will hit hte gym around 7am tomorrow when it opens (planet fitness 24hrs my azz) and report back shortly.

I told our daughter that it's my release time, it's where you go to develop yourself. Staying busy keeps my mind off stuff. Well put bud. Update incoming.

Alrighty, today’s lesson covers another facet of MindFk, Performance and energy. Let's get down to the nitty-gritty: how does this stuff perform in the engine room? In a word: brilliantly. MindFk's biggest performance strength is how it makes you work smarter. The focus is so dialed in that it feels like you're seeing the matrix on every set.

🏋️ Performance & Endurance: (Rating: 9/10) – My mind-muscle connection is cranked to 11, and I'm hitting that "productive failure" point way more efficiently. The mind-muscle connection is so dialed in that I feel like I could make my lats clap. Every rep is deliberate, meaning there's zero wasted motion or junk volume. I actually feel like I need more volume, but when I try another movement, I realize my muscles are already completely cooked. It's the kind of efficiency that builds muscle and saves time. Speaking of which, my workouts are consistently 10-15 minutes shorter because there’s no time wasted—just pure, unadulterated focus. Best of all? That deep-tissue soreness, my old friend DOMS, has decided to visit me again after a long absence. Welcome back, pal.

Extra Reps/Sets: Honestly, no. I did better reps. I’m making the reps I already do about 100% more effective thanks to superior focus and time under tension. But when that final, gut-check rep comes along, the drive is there to send it without contorting into some kind of modern art masterpiece.

Reduced Fatigue Between Sets: Rest? What's rest? Kidding, but seriously, I’m more fatigued between sets because I’m not just mindlessly slinging weight. This pre-workout forces you to be deliberate. This is the deep fatigue you get from actually working. I'm not just slinging weight; I'm on a first-name basis with every muscle fiber being torn. This is the best kind of tired.

Strength/Power Feeling: Don't expect to suddenly add 50 lbs to your bench. This isn't that kind of party. The feeling is more of a quiet confidence. It’s the mental clarity that lets you approach the bar knowing you own it, without all the jittery noise. It's brain-power, not just horsepower and that’s why you use this preworkout.

Added bonus: With the time I’m saving, it’s really helped me keep time to do cardio, 20 mins everyday. I do it regardless, but having an extra 10-15 minutes back really helps keep me motivated that the day isn’t getting away form me and there’s still time to get everything done. On a sneaky note, the extra fatigue between sets is helping my cardio as well. Since my goal is to continue to recomp until about April, this is perfect!

I’ll be updating randomly here and there, with a final review summary coming around Wednesday. Take care everyone!

Part 4: The Verdict & Value

Side Effects:
None to date, just a smooth, gradual liftoff and gentle landing. Have not gotten any beta alanine tingles, aside form when I first drank it, nor any flushed skin.

Value for Money: I feel it’s a good deal for the asking price. All energy drinks I know cost way more than $2.25 and don’t deliver near the non-proprietary blend. Additionally, they really do very little for me, Ghost has been about the best so far and it’s still not even close. Compared to similar pre-workouts, it’s a bit less than others in the same niche, with what I feel are more effective ingredients. Seeing as how it delivered on what it’s billed to do, I feel it’s a good value.

  • Total Price: $44.99 (average price online).
  • Servings Per Container: 20
  • Cost Per Serving: $2.25 (based on average online price)
Who is this Product For? I would say this product is geared for those who want to be zoned in first and foremost. Those non-responders/ limited responders to caffeine will appreciate this a whole heck of a lot (me), as will those who hate that “Cracked” out feeling with no focus. Those hating the crash will also appreciate this, as I was still able to go about the rest of my day without being dragged down. Those strength training will appreciate the solid but not overpowering pump, that can limit a workout.

  • Best For: Focus days to dial in routines. This really shines for helping find the mind/ muscle connection as you remaining very focused and purposeful throughout your workout. Additionally, those days where the body is willing but the mind is weak. This pre really puts you in the zone and gives just enough extra pump to make it look like you done did something but not ROM limiting. More vascularity than anything, as compared to a full on pump.
  • Who Should AVOID: Those who just want to be launched into orbit for an hour or less, then crash back to earth.
Final Score & Summary:

  • Overall Rating: 9/10
  • Summary:

Part 4: The Verdict & Value

Side Effects:
Absolutely zero, only tingles when drinking it the first time. This stuff is a smooth flight, think private jet, not a shaky rocket launch. I didn't get any of those classic beta-alanine itchy or tingles. Just clean, effective focus from start to finish.

Value for Money: Let's talk dollars and sense. At $2.25 a scoop, it’s a steal. You’ll pay more for a gas station energy drink that just makes your teeth sweat and does next to nothing. This has a fully disclosed label and actually works. For what you get, especially compared to other brain-boosting pre-workouts, the price is more than fair. It does what it says on the tin, so yeah, it's worth the cash.

  • Total Price: $44.99 (average price online)
  • Servings Per Container: 20
  • Cost Per Serving: $2.25

Who is this Product For? This is for the thinking man's bodybuilder—the lifter who wants to be a laser-focused sniper, not a wild-eyed machine gunner. If you find most high-stim products just make you anxious instead of awesome, this is your new best friend. It’s also perfect for anyone who hates the post-workout "stim crash" that turns you into a grumpy zombie for hours.

  • Best For: Forging a deep, personal relationship with whatever muscle you're working. It’s a godsend for those days when your brain is foggy but your body still wants to lift. You'll get an aesthetic pump with more vascularity—enough to know you done did something, but not so much that you can't bend your arms.
  • Who Should AVOID: The stim-fiends who want their pre-workout to feel like being launched by a rocket into orbit and then crashing within an hour later. If your goal is to see sounds and have your heart beatbox for an hour, look elsewhere.

Final Score & Summary:

  • Overall Rating: 9/10
  • Summary: This pre-workout is for the thinking man's bodybuilder, trading that cracked-out, jittery buzz for a laser-focused mental clarity that turns your workout into a tactical mission. It’s sneaky, you’re just so zoned in and deliberately paced. The insane mind-muscle connection means every rep feels like it counts for double, leading to deeper fatigue and more time efficient workouts that'll have you reacquainted with your old friend, DOMS. Forget the skin splitting bloat, this delivers a dense, vascular pump that makes you look like an anatomy chart, all powered by smooth-as-hell energy without looking for a pillow afterwards. Bottom line, if you value a quiet confidence and want to train with surgical precision instead of brute force, this is your new secret weapon for building muscle by working smarter AND harder at the same time! 2 thumbs way up! Would love to see this in capsule form too, with just the nootropic aspect, would be a welcome addition to a busy workday or study session.
Thanks again for the opportunity to run this and log it. Great ride and thoroughly enjoyed it. Appreciate everyone who tuned in as well, thank you! I’ll get around to a few mini-reviews here for the: chocolate protein, Madness pre-workout and Geaar within the next couple weeks.

That’s one of the most thorough reviews I’ve seen in a while.

Agreed I would title this as research paper not review ;)
Thanks Gents, I want to make sure I'm doing the opportunity justice. I never feel entitled at any point, so I want to make sure I'm upholding my end of the bargain. I do my best to not halfazz anything. Truly was a great time updating and running the product. I literally had to check I took it, it's so sneaky and smooth, yet I'm running way ahead of schedule on things lol. I FINALLY have figured out how to make caffeine work, Paraxanthine is the real deal! I'm going to be picking up a tub here once the sales for the season start up. Thanks again for trusting me with the opportunity! I'll be posting some mini-reviews on the other samples here in the coming weeks.

Will be adding an update to the initial review post, forgot to review the other 2 flavors, Tropical Punch and Blue Raspberry.

Update up for the other two flavors, bang up job Mutant!
I've only seen positives when it comes to taste on Mutant products. Sounds like the figured it out.

Good to know. Yeah, it's dialed in just right, apparently, not just for me lol. I was expecting something over the top, happily surprised.

Same here. I find the taste to be rather good. I haven’t really found a flavor I do t like.

I can’t wait to try the mango. I have a container waiting. Also a melon which most companies don’t have.

Agreed! You don't see a lot of melon flavored products. Mango seems pretty popular amongst most now a days.

I must be one of the outliers, I've always liked (ripe) honeydew. Mango has my ears perked, will have to check it out. I make a mango habanero barbeque sauce, so no question that I dig mango!

I have a mango amino waiting and ordered the melon all in one

That's awesome, sounds like a great combo! Ahhh, reminds me of summer! I keep a big bowl of mixed fruit in the fridge at all times for me and the munchkin and both those fruits are in it usually lol. I'll try and get some mini-reviews up here for the rest of the goodies when time permits.
