Any supplements for Teenage Lifter?

My son got serious about lifting in the last year and I wanted to get him some supplements. So far just creatine and protein, but any other safe suggestions? Lechitin Granules perhaps? I’m not thinking anything hardcore like stims or AXT lol.

As a supplement company, we can't recommend any products to teenagers.

But the most common supplement that we see parents, coaches, and athletic trainers suggest for teen athletes is ATP Elite, which covers the creatine aspect + more and covers a lot of different benefits in one product such as building muscle, strength, power, endurance, and recovery.

Fish oil!

Like mentioned they don’t need anything. However I remember being an 18 year old. I had been lifting for years but then I got creatine and protein. It gave me extra motivation to lift and push hard. It was fun. It was cheap. And it was healthy. Keep using that and maybe a clean basic preworkout or ATP elite. Maybe a good Multi like Multi XT. No need for anything else for now.

I take very high dose lecithin granules for my gallbladder and have taken them on and off for other reasons since I was 15. If your goal is to get the phosphatidic acid that comes from lecithin then just taking phosphatidic acid xt is much more efficient.

Creatine is very beneficial for any youth and I recently saw a study where a higher intake of creatine during teen years was associated with a greater height, better cognition, better mental health and more muscle. So creatine would be the main one I suggest for anyone under 18.

I saw Steve’s response and think that most supplement company owners would give the same response, that’s why practically every supplement is marketed only to adults. It’s simply too much of a liability to market a supplement towards some demographics of people.

I would just stick with the basics for him and that’s what you’re already doing. Simply putting him on a higher protein diet should help a lot aswell.

You got it covered with Creatine and Protein.
Focus on diet, recovery, stress reduction and not overtraining.

Agreed! Build the base with time at this age!

Thanks guys I remember taking creatine and protein when I was a kid. Massive protein shakes with milk, powdered milk, molasses, scoop of ice cream, eggs, peanut butter, etc.

In 7th grade I’d make Banana muscle milk shakes with bananas and about a cup of peanut butter, literally, and thought I was the healthiest dude on the planet. Memories though.

Same here! haha Peanut butter was probably killing my overall look when I was younger cause I ate so much of it ha

Yeah I thought Pb was one of the best proteins out there. I used to go crazy with it.

I was doing some really old school stuff....4 raw eggs mixed in some orange juice, about a gallon of milk throughout the day, and a pack of vitamins with around 20 pills in it.
