Slicin' and Dicin'

He was such a great man…. the rhetoric on the left is what leads to this, and the assassination attempts on President Trump. They seem to be more concerned with protecting criminals than American citizens. I hope they not only catch the assassin, but if there was anyone or any groups backing this, they all need to be brought to justice.😡

Morning dog walk
Few thousand more steps throughout the day

Felt a stabbing pain in my wrist yesterday directly under my watch like getting hit by a hammer. Sorta stretched my forearm and it went away. Today same thing on way to gym so took my watch off and pain magically disappeared and then I wondered
...... Is it healthy to wear an electronic all day? So my days of step tracking might be over. I hated the watch anyways. Lol

This morning dog walk felt like a trip down Sleepy Hollow with an unknown cougar somewhere, anywhere....

No smart watch. Probably gonna give it up. I just got in my head I don't like wearing electronics.

Looking forward to month two of my GLP/lean edge/scorch stack. I feel like I'm starting to see some results tbh. I've not worked "that hard" on my cut. Last night my wife made us tots and chicken.

Honestly we needed a decompression night. Charlie, Iryna, and everything else going on the world had us twisted up so we watched Burt Kreischer, Friends, just dumb comedy stuff, ate some junk and enjoyed the night and somehow woke up down a lb lol.

Walked the dog this morning our normal path so while idk what my total steps were, I'm on par with my normal 10-12k day.

Going a bit easy on things this week, been tired and been running supps at 50% in attempt to keep them in my system until my restock arrives any day.

Still walking dog in the morning before work and taking walks on break /lunch at work just not tracking steps.

Weight 193 this morning.

The lat and pec pump on bench was today. I need to bring speed work back in though, didn't feel grindy, just moving slow.

Was gonna run 3 x 5 but each set felt better than the last, I'm not programming right now, so just enjoyed the run.

Nice focused chest work….Ha, I understand about loading up on the DB Incline, because you can’t have a little skinny Indian dude looking like he can almost lift what you can. Got a reputation to uphold.💪😎

haha, its true. sitting on the bench beside him in the mirror the dude made me look like a beast. when I watched him throwing 65s in the air it was crazy impressive, he was very thin, skinny arms, totally unaware of how strong he was at his bodyweight and build. I told him I was impressed what he was putting up cause I know guys who weigh 100lbs more than him and struggle with that. realistically speaking I am starting to think I look bigger than my strength represents lol

throwing this to the universe to begin manifesting the next stage in motivation.
I just stumbled over some pics of myself

May of 2023 I looked hella fat, but weighed exactly what I weigh today, 193. So I'm definitely carrying more lean mass.

August of 2021 my old log says I weighed 175 and my abs looked good in the pic. obv chest/shoulders etc looked considerably smaller.

current plan is to turn the heat back on next week. I don't need to drop 20lbs to 175 again, but my goal when I started this is still in play, get back to 180s, maybe 185 ish and take it from there.

its sorta wild how much stronger I am now than back then.

doing db laterals at 27lbs, benching 225 x 3 and 240 x 1. but I was staying lean and calories were about the same. cardio looks like it was pretty moderate, not too over the top. maybe age is actually playing a roll, IDK.

Yeah I knew when you had posted pictures from before that you are definitely carrying more mass. I wouldn’t be surprised if your abs start to pop around 185, but even if it takes getting down to 180, I bet you still would look a good bit bigger than you did back then in the 170s.

so last night my supps arrived. yes I have 12 x pump addict lol, but I have a group of guys splitting that with me. I threw down a full dose of anabolix xt last night (normally I do 50/50 morning and afternoon) to get things fired up again because I've been out for a few days. slept hard and woke up in a fantastic mood which is nice. it's good to have stuff back in the system. Been out of pump addict I think for 2 weeks, it's by far my favorite. I had some emergency Ryse in stock but honestly I really dislike it. the BA tingles from it are just uncomfortable. the ingredient profile of pump addict seems to be perfect for me and I cant' really overdose it. 1 scoop, scoop and a half, whatever, I never have discomfort but gym sessions still always seem more focused.

Fairly light day. More about going through the motions, thinking about mobility, rom, and routine to set the stage for a push.

Didn't even take my belt in with me today but deads felt pretty good so I took them a bit higher than I normally would without a belt. (Usually belt up around 275-300)

It's sorta funny. I remember the first time my PL/Xfit coach pulled the rip cord on my sloppy 3151RM attempt back in the day and today it feels like a deload.

Easily had a set of 10-15+ in me there today.

Fasted cardio day
Morning dog walk

Notes
Bringing back the 36+hr fasting regiment starting today to get down to that next level.

Considering bringing the smart watch back to target some high step avgs even though I hate it, lol.

I have a lot of mixed feelings about prolonged fasting, I like the benefits but not the lack of nutrients for so long, and because I'm a fat kid at heart and I cry when I'm hungry lol.

I respect the willpower to do something like that. I'm very weak around food. I think when I quit drinking and going out, food was the new reward system. I think about good food all day lol. At work in the morning we usually talk about food until lunch 😂

You could find just a cheap little step counter on Amazon if I remember right they are dirt cheap and pretty simple with no frills.

so ended up at about 15k steps yesterday. My phone somehow snagged 7k just from being in my pocket, plus 40 minutes of cardio at the gym, plus last night wife and I took the dogs on a walk for another 3k+.

tbh I'm the same way, although I haven't seen substantial issues from eating normal on lifting days and then fasting 36+hrs on rest days. Back in May of 2023 I think it was, I had cut 10lbs in a month with ADF and PR'd my deads (or bench, I can't remember which one now) so it sorta made me a believer.

I'm up at 4:30am, so between that, going to work, etc so I'm fairly distracted until after work. its the hours of about 4-8pm that I have to be the most disciplined and I realize that I get "bored" not eating so I think I get a dopamine reset from fasting.

Its sorta counterintuitive unless you think about ketosis, but my energy level and cognitive function are much better when fully fasted vs caloric deficit so as of right now... this is the 'easiest' solution for me for dropping a few. but who knows... 10 years ago it was no problem for me to keep BF at 10% with just normal clean eating, although I think somehow I had more spare time in my life and basically had 1-2hour gym sessions at least 6-7 days a week back then.

Fasting also starts the cleansing and healing process, which is another reason it makes you feel good. The cleansing and healing process begins within 12-24 hours and cellular repair starts to increase significantly from 24-72 hours. So that’s a big reason why you start to feel so good. Obviously there are certain people with some medical conditions that shouldn’t fast, but healthy people can get significant benefits from it, besides dropping a few pounds.
The next time I cut, I’ll use fasting as well. The longest fast I ever did was 3 days, 72 hours, and it definitely was a quick way to detox and just feel better. Ha, I probably wouldn’t do one that long now, but the way you do it, 24-36 hours once a week is a great tool to cut some fat, but be able to eat somewhat normal. That’s probably what appeals the most to me with this technique.

yeah I agree about the health aspect of it, its like a double whammy. You get the cellular repair, the organs get a rest day, and you're simultaneously not putting any additional toxins in your system. I think I was craving a fast after the past month or two (or more??) of not having any legit fasts. I felt like it was something I needed to reincorporate for overall health purposes.

Everyone knows it's important to do at least one ab movement a month and with Sept nearing its end, today was that day.

What are the benefits of doing this?
I largely do it to gain some different chest stimulus. When I started widening my grip I went very little, like a pinkys width at a time until I got to my current grip (usually ring or middle finger on the band). wide grip was painful for my shoulders until I trained enough volume with lighter weight over time, widening the grip. the same with incline bench, that used to be painful on the shoulders and I have a very poor overall 1rm on incline because its been so rarely trained the past 20+ years for me until about the past 18 months.

of the below items, I can relate to items 1 and 5, but find the other points of widegrip to be irrelevant for me because I do not train it heavy. I like to rep out with a wide grip and strength train with what my "comp" grip would be even though I don't compete, but am known to chase a PR every once in a while lol

What are the benefits of doing this?
I will say this, I feel like my personal genetics and years of training usually left me with a larger chest and calves, but smaller arms so these days I target arms a LOT to make them catch up. (I raced BMX which may have helped calf development early on, idk. my dad has huge calves). BUT when I started incorporating incline and widegrip I feel like my chest grew to new levels and I started getting comments from guys.

we had a contractor come out and I was like "my eyes are up here, dude". He goes I'm sorry man but how did you get that chest? 😂 😂 I told him I use the same doc as my wife.

Just found out my Roman name is either Riceius, Groundius Turkeyius, or creamius.

I'm going with Riceius Turkeyius The Arrogant.
