Best way to increase DHEA blood markers?

Hey all,

Bloods came back a little low in DHEA and slightly elevated cortisol. Doc suggested supplementing low dose DHEA (eod) obviously- but last time I did that I got a little gyno flare up. Are there more fun compounds that will increase DHEA like Epiandro or other Andros, or is that completely different? If I have to take an AI or SERM or naturally manage Estrogen with DHEA, I feel like it might be worth cycling something more likely to give me some gains.
FYI I am not on TRT natural levels around 900, E 28
only running GH Peptides currently

Thanks for your input.

Transdermal is the way to go to stop the e2 spike. XPG DHEA-50

Yes this is perfect 👍

I've done bloodwork on both oral DHEA and topical DHEA. I've also done bloods using HCG also.

The topical never raised my estrogen as much as oral. They had different effects though? For me oral felt a little better. I'm always low on estrogen so I suspect it's the extra estrogen bump that causes this. So effects for you may differ.

Start with a low dose and work your way up. You will know when your at your sweet spot.

HCG 500iu eod with a AI if you got estrogen issues, after about 2 weeks or so (1x 5000iu bottle) but after the bottle is finished then switch to dermacrine or a transdermal DHEA. This is what I would do if I had low DHEA from TRT. Sometimes, many times after years on TRT DHEA levels drop and you need the HCG to kickstart the process for some reason I don't understand, But it probably has something to do with LH, through a negative feedback loop you stop making hormones including DHEA. HCG tells the body to make precursors to DHEA and I'm guessing once that's accomplished that the DHEA supplementation is enough to keep it elevated. Little bro science mixed with real science, but it absolutely works.

So regardless of your situation, I'd imagine that's the fastest way to get DHEA up

I tested all this. It's actually the #1 reason why TRT begins to feel almost numb and below your previous state. Leutinizing Hormone stimulates the release of the neurosteroids. I done loads of bloodwork before and after adding in HCG. I found that even a dose of 175iu eod of HCG raised pregnenolone/dhea etc (All mine came into mid range). Obviously the higher the dose the higher the dhea/Pregnenolone spike.

I wasn't a fan of HCG though. It would always spike my prolactin crazy high. The annoying part is I love alot of the effects ie mood/libido and loads are well... Much better... 😂 But that prolactin spike eventually makes me feel very low. I might try experimenting with different doses. My estrogen is always low and it's starting to impact me poorly. I don't use AI's. I will hopefully find a good balance.

Are you using HCG?

Nope I don't use HCG unless I need to, I don't get the testicular shrinking from gear so cosmetically no need. Haven't had the need to in the past 5 years other then when I temporarily came off test. I blast and TRT in-between and when I'm on TRT I use dermacrine. And I'm really not even trying to plug dermacrine because they are a sponsor. I used dermacrine on and off for over 10 years. I didn't even know iconic was a sponsor back then. I just have had good luck with it @3 pumps with trt

low dose oral dhea worked good for me. less than 100mg a day, anything over 100mg a day and i would get a stiff neck and headache in the back portion of my head and neck, probably 25mg twice a day will be more than enough. i tried transdermal from 3 different brands but did not get much out of it

I definitely have the shrinkage #peanuts 😂 Suppose that's another pro of HCG.

Does dermacrine show how much dhea/Pregnenolone your applying? I bought the topicals separately just so I could experiment with different doses and also if one causes side effects.

The TRT clinics here in the UK never talk about the neurosteroids. The last appointment I had I explained it all to them and they genuinely never had a clue what I was on about. Kinda scary tbh. Though in the UK the TRT protocol is trash. Nebido jabbed once a fortnight and sent on your way. My friend had testicular cancer and got his testes removed. They put him on it and he was all over the place. He's now on enanthate and feels much better.

100mg is a high dose lol. 25mg will put you even out of the range

Thanks for the input guys! I am going to try low dose oral DHEA ~25mg EOD alongside chrysin and DIM and up it weekly until I find the sweet spot. Also ordering XPG to see if topical is any better on E. If I remember correctly, it should lower cortisol, and give me mild size gains and pumps, right?

So I am just wishful thinking that this might be an excuse to run EpiAndro for 8 weeks? DHEA is completely different?

Yeh I think epiandro is a metabolite of DHEA? It will function different in the body.

Yes DHEA will lower cortisol levels. Theirs actually a metabolite of DHEA called 7-keto-dhea which is part of the DHEA that raises metabolism and lowers cortisol. It doesn't raise actual DHEA levels though.

My preference is definitely oral. I like that extra estrogen bump it offers though. It's good your gonna experiment though. I would maybe even just try 5-10mg your first night and note down how you feel. Keep us posted.

get micronized dhea. 25-50mg per day. 7-keto is a fat loss weight control management dhea metabolite. so it's not what the poster wants. also get micronized preg as the none micronized has a half life time of maybe 5 min in the blood.
