63 yo possible restarting TRT / blood work results

I used to post here frequently under the handle jcam222. Worked out hard and did many prohormone and hard core gear cycles in my 40s to early 50s. Early 50s switched to legit TRT @ 100 mg test cyo per week (originally with Swole / Dr John) but ended up with massive hematocrit issues. So much so that I was having to do weekly phlebotomies for awhile. Came off TRT and between that and a 90% travel work schedule, COVID and a divorce ballooned up to 335 lbs of unhealthy fat. Finally recovering mentally from divorce , anxiety and depression and have lost 50 lbs over the last year. Returned to the gym after 6 years away about 3 weeks ago and decided to look into enclomiphene. Sorry for the long winded intro, to the blood work. I was surprised to see test at 380 and free at 55. Not optimal but far higher than when I had come off TRT. Mind-blowing to me though was my Estradiol which came in at a whopping 129!! Likely why I'm having such a hard time dropping weight even with diet dialed in. Looks like I need to get that under control before boosting test further? I've heard some real horror stories on dropping E2 with AI's. Any thoughts or similar stories appreciated. I did see a doc on Monday. With my issues with depression and anxiety I'm just anxious about how the lowering of the E2 can impact mood / behaviors. In theory should be good? At the end of the day I'd like to boost T high enough to lean out and be able to add a little muscle but not high enough that I'm pissed off and a raging horn dog constantly. Lol kind of a balancing act but that time has passed for me.

How old are you exactly? I ask because I am 49 and can’t tolerate big gear runs anymore and will be following your path to just TRT eventually.

I'm not an expert here, but I'd imagine that the E2 and bodyfat will go hand in hand. If you can bring your bodyfat down E2 will come down and keep helping each other. So you might just need a really small dose or something natural to just get moving in the right direction then let your body get you back to balanced.

Kind of what I'm thinking too. No doubt the body fat and age are pushing the E2. Sort of a catch 22. Bring fat down to help but tough to lose with it high.

Most will say that running any test at above 12-15% bodyfat is gonna lead to getting fatter (high E2). And too take the time to lose the weight, get conditioned and then build from that point. Using an AI to help get your E2 down now would help you get there.

Yep that's what I am thinking. Just nervous about crashing the E2 having been that high for awhile. Once it's managed and weight is down more I'll redo tests and maybe take enclomiphene if needed. I suspect if I get the E2 down my test and free test should climb into the upper third of normal. I am good with that and actually have no desire to be at the top limit or over. For me that guy was not very nice lol.

Just go easy on the AI. You won’t crash and even if you did, stop for a week and start with much less.
