Cardarine Bloodwork Question

Hey guys I plan on using cardarine 10mg a day the month leading up to my TRT bloodwork to help boost my HDL and lower my LDL a bit. This would be my sole reason for taking it.

My question is, will this skew or affect any of my blood markers that would make the doctor suspicious? Or will it only help my cholesterol and leave my other blood markers alone. The blood work is pretty extensive so that's why I am concerned. I don't think it affects liver enzymes or anything like that. Just want to help my bloodwork look optimal on top of my normal healthy diet and cardio. If I stopped taking it a week before the blood work would I still see improvements or does cholesterol return to baseline quickly?

Thanks!

When someone is having issues with lipids, blood pressure, or any cardiovascular issues, I always tell them to start with a clean healthy diet and increase cardio, but if you’re already doing that then maybe add in something like SNS Cardiovascular Support XT and Blood Pressure Support XT, both are great staples. I’ve taken Cardarine before, on anabolic cycles, and it did help keep things at bay, especially when running orals, but I only used it in short runs just because of the cancer risk they saw in rats…I know we aren’t rats, but my Mom has cancer so to me it’s not worth the risk. But Cardiovascular Support XT with Blood Pressure Support XT are great, healthier, and better in my opinion. @sns8778 could tell you more recommendations I’m sure.

Same here. Just cleaning up diet, watching sodium intake specifically, and cardio go a long way.

It's only going to skew things in a positive direction. I know this sounds great but I do wonder how much of a bandaid this is going to put on your bloodwork. Lipids, blood sugar, and some cardiovascular markers like c reactive protein may look better on your bloods. Again, idk if it's a bandaid. The cholesterol lowers from fat oxidation so that seems like it should remain better. C reactive might go down from lowering systemic inflammation and that should also stick around. But I never seen bloods again after stopping for a few weeks. Ultimately you wanna stop the things causing problems and not rely on carderine for this.

Just curious but why would you want to use cardarine to temporarily alter your blood work? Wouldn't you want to get an accurate reading? Is it that you're afraid your doctor will pull you off TRT because of your cholesterol numbers?

Hey guys just wanted to clarify a few things I should have noted in my original post. I appreciate all the helpful comments with good intentions and my best interest in mind. That's why I love this community.

That said, my blood work cholesterol has always been good and nothing out of range. I guess this was my inner optimization mindset to see if I could get it even lower. In other words my cholesterol has never been an issue that would warrant doctor taking me off. Just wanted to try something and see if it got it more to the lower range of cholesterol markers. I was mainly asking because I didn't want to create other issues or red flags when typically my blood work looks good and has no issues.

So you really were thinking more of a preemptive thing….yeah then I definitely wouldn’t use Cardarine for that. I’m 60 and what has been the best preventative approach for me is healthy eating and exercise, of course, and adding some of the good supplements out there, like the two I mentioned. That’s good insurance, in my opinion. Oh and I’m on TRT as well.😎

@gphagan1 Yes you are correct. Appreciate the advice and will go pickup some of the supplements you noted. Just trying to stay healthy and keep things optimized!

It was more to optimize and lower it more than diet/lifting could alone. My cholesterol has always came back fine so no major worry there. Just looking to further lower it in a healthy way. I plan to purchase some of the supplements @gphagan1 mentioned and roll from there instead.

Makes sense. Thank you for the advice sir. I really appreciate everyone taking the time to give me advice and pointing me in the correct direction.

Ya this times whatever large number floats your boat.

Don’t try to game the system only to hurt yourself in the long run. Do the work or look for something that can help long term with minimal (to no) detrimental effects to help improve your blood markers if you truly need it.
Agreed. I need to think long term and not seek immediate easy results. Thank you sir!

I would definitely not use the cardarine then. I would focus on healthy diet and cardio to improve your lipid profile. I am not a fan of low cholesterol diets though. I actually eat a very high cholesterol diet but get it from good foods. And although my LDL is on the higher side, my HDL is in the 85 - 90 range.

Plenty of OTC supplements out there worth trying as well for cholesterol.

Holy smokes! That's a crazy good HDL. I struggle to keep mine a point or two above the bottom of the reference range.

Had your exact mindset years ago. Tried 10mg for a month prior to bloods to see if I could get my genetically low hdl up. My hdl always runs 26 to 32 no matter what diet, supps, increased cardio I did. It moved it to a 36 which wasn’t enough of a difference for me personally to continue to use it. It did not skew any other blood markers.

@madmuscle24 thanks for the feedback sir!
